First session
During their first session, clients can expect to be heard; having a chance to express concerns and struggles in a non-judgmental environment. They would have already completed all necessary consents, screening tools, and paperwork which would serve to lay the initial ground work. A patient centered plan of care will be implemented. Medication management is an integral part to the care that I provide, and clients can rest assured that decisions will be rooted in evidence based practice.
Strengths
The purpose of my practice is to help clients regain resilience and to live out the best versions of themselves. I am able to listen to clients express their inner most vulnerabilities and with their permission and help, use sound reasoning rooted in evidence-based practice help to rediscover purpose and direction. In order for this to happen, I show compassion. Being compassionate in my approach allows for true connection, not only as provider to client, but also on a human level. It is within this connection a safe space is created and true healing can begin.
Ideal clients
I look forward to working with a client who is honest enough to admit to himself/herself, that a change is needed. A client who is willing to put in some effort toward their own wellbeing, knowing that "Rome was not built in a day," progress takes time. A client who will not give up too easily, someone who accepts that support is here.
