Hi, my name is Erika Levet, and I'm a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) practicing in Texas, Louisiana, and Idaho. I earned my master's degree from Nicholls State University and am currently pursuing a doctorate at the University of Holy Cross in New Orleans, with research focused on homelessness. I've been practicing for 9 years and work with adolescents and adults navigating a wide range of concerns including depression, anxiety, childhood trauma, complex trauma, sexual abuse, domestic violence, life transitions (divorce, job change), chronic stress or burnout, PTSD, anger management, communication, self-esteem/self-worth, people-pleasing, shame/guilt, and more. My approach is warm, collaborative, and trauma-informed. I integrate evidence-based modalities such as EMDR, Brainspotting, and Internal Family Systems (IFS) to support trauma healing. I also draw from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing, and client-centered therapy to help you build insight, resilience, and meaningful change.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In our first session, you can expect a relaxed, judgement-free space where we'll start exploring what's bringing you to therapy. I'll ask some questions to get a better understanding of your current concerns, your background, and what you're hoping to get out of our work together. It's totally okay if you're not sure where to start. We'll figure it out together. I'll also share abit about how I approach therapy so you know what to expect moving forward. Most importantly, this time is about you, and we'll go at whatever pace feels right to you.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

One of my biggest strengths as a therapist is helping people feel safe and understood. I take a trauma-informed approach, which means I'll always respect my clients pace and comfort level. We go where you want to go. I'm good at helping to make sense of where struggles are really coming from, not just treating surface-level symptoms. I'm good at working together to build a plan that actually make sense for your life, with clear steps and room for real progress on your terms.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I'm best positioned to support adolescents, women, and young adults who are navigating challenges such as anxiety, depression, grief/loss, trauma, anger, relationship difficulties, and life transitions. Many of my clients are processing past experiences, managing high stress or emotional overwhelm, or seeking clarity and confidence in who they are. I work especially well with those who may feel stuck, burnt out, or disconnected, and who are looking for a supportive, nonjudgmental space to heal and grow. My approach is compassionate and empowering, blending evidence-based practices with a focus on emotional insight, mind-body connection, and long-term resilience.
