New to Grow
I help high functioning women who are exhausted from always being "the strong one". Through trauma-informed therapy, I help clients understand survival patterns, heal from past experiences, set healthier boundaries, navigate burnout and life transitions. As your therapist, i'm not interested in simply helping you "cope", I'm interested in helping build a life that feels grounded, balanced and sustainable. My practice, The Culture of Rest, serves women who look like they have everything together on the outside, but internally feel exhausted, anxious, disconnected from themselves, or stuck in patterns that once kept them safe. The name itself reflects my philosophy that rest isn't something that is a reward for achieving. Rest is something that I teach you to reclaim as a part of healing. Outside of therapy, I provide forensic mental health evaluations for individuals navigating the immigration process.
Your first session is a space to exhale. I know that reaching out for therapy can feel vulnerable, so my goal isn't to rush into solutions or ask you to share more than you are ready to. W'll spend time getting to know each other. You'll find that i'm curious, compassionate, and non-judgmental as I strive to understand what brought you to therapy, what you've been carrying, and what you hope will be different as a result of therapy. We will discuss your goals, answer any questions you have about the therapy process and begin creating a plan that reflects your unique needs and strengths. By the end of our first session, my hope is that you leave heeling heard, understood and a little less alone than at the beginning.
My greatest strength as a therapist is my ability to help clients feel seen without being judged. I listen beyond symptoms and look for the story beneath the struggle, as well as strengths that have carried them through their hardest season. My clients are likely to experience me as calm and thoughtful. I create space for clients to make sense of their experiences while gently guiding them toward insight and practical change. My work is grounded in compassionate , cultural humility, and clinical integrity. As an immigrant and a mother, and through personal experiences of having limited resources and support, I bring a lived understanding of resilience, identity, and what it means to navigate life without constant safety nets. These experiences do not define my work, however they deepen my empathy and allow me to connect with clients who feel seen, unsupported, or overwhelmed by systems that were not built for them.
My ideal clients are adults who are ready to move beyond survival. They have spent most of their lives being the strong, dependable one for everyone else. They are high-functioning and successful on the outside, but are emotionally exhausted, overwhelmed, hyper-independent, and are uncertain who they are outside of the role they fulfill. They are navigating significant life transitions such as becoming a parent, balancing career demands, separation or divorce, care-giving responsibilities, immigration and acculturation stress, or the effects of trauma. They are insightful and motivated even if they don't have the words for what they are experiencing. They understand that healing is an active process, are open to practicing new skills, reflect between sessions, and apply what they learn to their everyday lives. They are looking for a trusted partner to walk alongside them as they reclaim their voice, recognize their strengths, and become the person they were always capable of being.
My therapeutic approach is eclectic, meaning I draw from multiple evidence-based treatment methods to create an approach that is personalized to each client’s needs, goals, and experiences. I believe therapy should not be one-size-fits-all; the work we do together should reflect who you are, what you’ve experienced, and what you hope to change. My foundation is rooted in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), which focuses on understanding the connection between thoughts, emotions, behaviors, and the patterns that influence how we experience the world. Together, we explore unhelpful beliefs and coping strategies while developing practical tools to create meaningful change. I have specialized training in trauma treatment and use a trauma-informed lens throughout my work. This means we consider how past experiences, relationships, and environments may have shaped the way you see yourself, connect with others, and respond to stress. Rather than viewing coping patterns as weaknesses, we explore them as adaptations that once served a purpose and identify healthier ways to move forward. Depending on your needs, I may integrate approaches including strengths-based therapy, solution-focused therapy, attachment-based interventions, mindfulness practices, and other evidence-based techniques. My goal is to meet you where you are while helping you develop greater self-awareness, emotional regulation, confidence, and the skills needed to create lasting change. Therapy with me is collaborative, compassionate, and growth-oriented. I will support you while also challenging you to reflect, practice new skills, and take meaningful steps toward becoming more connected to yourself and the life you want to create.
