First session
My first goal is to listen to my patients. My second goal is to find the best treatments possible for my patients. My outcome is to improve my client's mental health.
Strengths
As a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, I am deeply committed to creating a safe, supportive, and judgment-free space where patients feel heard, respected, and empowered. I believe mental health care works best when it is collaborative, compassionate, and individualized to each person’s unique needs and goals. I strongly value patient autonomy and believe every individual deserves an active voice in their treatment decisions. My approach focuses on building a strong therapeutic alliance founded on trust, mutual respect, and open communication. I work alongside my patients as an advocate, educator, and first-line supporter, helping them navigate challenges while fostering resilience, confidence, and lasting emotional wellness. My goal is to provide evidence-based, patient-centered care that empowers individuals to take meaningful steps toward healing, balance, and improved quality of life.
Treatment methods
Supportive
I use supportive treatment methods in my practice to help my patient cope, function and maintain stability in their mental health. The goal of this method is to help patients strengthen coping mechanisms and reduce symptoms through encouragement, reassurance, and practical problem-solving. For example, I use empathic listening and validation, reassurance and normalization of feelings, encouragement of adaptive behaviors, and finally, enhancing self-esteem and autonomy.
Psychoeducation
The goal of this method is to help patients and families understand the illness, treatment options, and relapse prevention. This method focus on symptoms and triggers, medication adherence, lifestyle modification ( sleep, exercise, stress reduction and early warning signs and coping plans.
Motivational Interviewing
I use this method to empower my patients to take actionable steps toward healthier behavior because they choose to, not because they are told to. This help patients commit to their mental health.
