Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

My hope is to provide a non-judgmental, supportive, calming therapeutic atmosphere.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

My therapeutic approach emphasizes practical, realistic, evidence-based techniques, with focus on symptomatic reduction and management.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I'm quite adaptive in regard to client populations. I've been fortunate to have been provided with clinical opportunities throughout my career, allowing me to acquire clinical experience with a wide range of clients and distinctive backgrounds. My ideal client would be attentive, cooperative, and perceives our therapeutic process as a journey where unexpected circumstances might occur, rather than as a static, fixed destination. I've noticed that individuals who find stress reduction in music performance tend to a good fit as well.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

CBT focuses on strengthening personal insight and self-awareness, in regard to the interrelated patterns of our thoughts, feelings, and actions.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

DBT is highly effective for reduction of the emotional impact that results from traumatic experiences, and encourages development of distress tolerance, acceptance, and emotional identification-expressive skills.

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

Mindfulness-based therapy emphasizes the importance of focusing on the present. Mindfulness provides opportunities to allow oneself to increase personal insight and to simply feel "in the moment" with one's thoughts, emotions, and behaviors without judgement.

Person-centered (Rogerian)

Rogerian approach is very useful in reference to building confidence and self-acceptance. Empathy, positive regard, and reflective listening are primary features associated with Person-centered methods.

Strength-Based

Strength-based approach utilizes our personal strengths as a means to guide of therapeutic journey. We all possess strengths, and we will identify and activate your personal strengths to discover our path forward!
