Reclaim Your Flame. Therapy is about creating a safe, supportive space to understand what you've been carrying, reconnect with yourself, and discover what's possible from here.
You are the expert on your own life, and I see my role as coming alongside you to help you understand yourself, identify what you need, and support movement toward the life you want to live.
First session
Our first session is a chance to get to know one another, take care of a little housekeeping, and explore your story through plenty of curious questions. We'll also identify your strengths, what's already going well, and opportunities to build on those things. My goal is to foster hope, connection, and even a few laughs along the way.
Strengths
I use clinically informed approaches, including cognitive behavioral therapy, solution-focused therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, internal family systems, attachment theory, and mindfulness. Treatment is personalized to your experiences, strengths, and goals. My approach is collaborative, person-centered, and strengths-based. I believe you are the expert on your own life. I offer a supportive, nonjudgmental space while also being direct and honest. Like a mirror, I reflect patterns and behaviors that may be interfering with your goals, growth, and ability to live a meaningful, fulfilling life. Together, we'll explore your needs, identify achievable goals, and develop a personalized strengths-based approach. Our work focuses on supporting healing, increasing hope, building resilience, and promoting meaningful, sustainable change.
Ideal clients
Are you used to being the one others can count on, while quietly carrying things that no one else sees? Maybe youโve learned to keep going, even when you feel overwhelmed, disconnected, exhausted, or unsure of what comes next. You may be navigating trauma, stress, loss, anxiety, depression, a difficult transition, or experiences that are hard to articulate. Sometimes, being a strong, dependable, resilient person can make it difficult to recognize when we need support. If youโre carrying the cumulative weight of unseen burdens or simply at a point in life where you know something needs to change, you don't have to figure it out alone.
Origin story
My own childhood experiences shaped my understanding of the importance of feeling supported, understood, and connected. They helped inspire my desire to provide others with the kind of therapeutic relationship that fosters healing, resilience, and hope. I have spent nearly 20 years supporting individuals and families through life's challenges.
Ongoing work together
Ongoing therapy is a collaborative process that evolves with you, your needs, and your goals. Together, we will create space to explore what you've been carrying, better understand patterns and experiences that may be impacting your life, and identify what you need to feel more grounded, connected, and empowered. Our work may include processing difficult experiences, strengthening coping skills, building emotional awareness, challenging unhelpful thought patterns, and reconnecting with your strengths. I draw from trauma-informed, strength-based, and evidence-based approaches, tailoring our work to what feels most helpful and meaningful to you. You'll begin to recognize progress not only in how you feel, but in how you move through your everyday life. You might feel less overwhelmed. You may respond to stress differently. You may be able to set and maintain healthier boundaries. You may trust yourself more, or feel more connected to the people and things that matter to you. Progress may also look like understanding yourself with greater compassion, feeling less defined by past experiences, or having more confidence in navigating life's challenges. Healing isn't always linear, and there is no one-size-fits-all timeline. We'll regularly check in about what's changing, what's feeling helpful, and where you would like to focus next. My hope is that over time, you'll feel more equipped to navigate challenges, more connected to yourself, and more able to live a life that feels authentic and fulfilling.
Treatment methods
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) helps you understand the connection between your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. Together, we'll explore unhelpful thinking patterns, develop new perspectives, and practice healthier ways of responding to life's challenges. The goal is to help you build self-awareness and insight, feel more empowered, build effective coping skills, and create lasting, meaningful change.
Acceptance and commitment (ACT)
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) helps you develop a healthier relationship with difficult thoughts and emotions rather than feeling the need to fight, avoid, or control them. Through mindfulness and present-moment awareness, we'll practice making space for your experiences while learning to respond with greater intention. Together, we'll explore what matters most to you and identify meaningful steps toward living a life that feels more aligned with your values.
Internal Family Systems (IFS)
Internal Family Systems (IFS) helps you better understand the different parts of yourself and how they influence your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. There are no bad parts! Our parts exist to protect us, manage difficult emotions, or help us navigate challenging experiences. Together, we'll approach these parts with curiosity and compassion, helping you understand their roles, heal underlying wounds, and strengthen your connection to your core Self. The goal is to develop greater self-awareness, inner balance, and self-compassion.
Solution-Focused Brief Treatment
Solution-Focused Therapy emphasizes your strengths, resources, and possibilities rather than focusing solely on problems. Together, we'll explore the times when things were going well, identify what you want to be different now, recognize what's already working, and then build on the skills and strengths you bring to the process. Through conversations together and small, achievable steps, we'll work toward your goals and help you create positive changes that carry into your everyday life.
