Life can feel overwhelming, whether you’re facing stress, life transitions, grief, caregiving overwhelm, or the weight of anxiety and depression. You don’t have to navigate it alone. As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, I offer a supportive space where you feel heard and understood. Together, we’ll build coping skills, set meaningful goals, and create a path toward greater resilience, healing, and fulfillment.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In our first session, we will focus on getting to know you and understanding what brings you to therapy. I’ll ask questions about your current concerns, relevant history, and what you hope to gain from treatment. This helps us begin to clarify goals and identify the most important areas to focus on. We will also review confidentiality, my practice policies, and answer any questions you may have about the therapy process. There is no pressure to share everything at once—this session is about creating a safe, comfortable starting point and moving at a pace that feels right for you. By the end of the session, we will begin identifying initial goals and discuss what ongoing therapy may look like, including approaches that may best support your needs.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I bring a calm, grounded, and compassionate presence to my sessions, helping clients feel safe, heard, and not judged. I am skilled at meeting clients where they are emotionally, especially during times of grief, transition, or overwhelm, and helping them sort through complex feelings in a clear and manageable way. I also bring practical, strengths-based clinical skills to help clients identify coping strategies that fit their real lives, not just theory. Clients often tell me they appreciate that I balance emotional support with practical direction, helping them feel both understood and more equipped to take next steps. I value collaboration and tailor my approach to each person’s needs, values, and pace of readiness for change."

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

My ideal clients are adults experiencing life transitions, anxiety, depression, and grief. Many are navigating periods of uncertainty, emotional overwhelm, or changes in identity, relationships, or daily functioning and are seeking a supportive space to regain stability and clarity. I have a particular focus on working with older adults, individuals coping with chronic or serious illness, and those experiencing caregiver stress. I provide support for hospice and palliative care-related concerns, anticipatory grief, end-of-life issues, and the emotional and practical challenges that come with aging and increased care needs. I also specialize in supporting foster and adoptive parents as they navigate the complexities of attachment, behavioral challenges, family adjustment, and permanency planning. As a foster and adoptive parent myself, I bring both clinical expertise and lived experience to this work, offering a grounded and compassionate approach to these unique family dynamics.

My treatment methods

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

I use Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to help clients develop a healthier relationship with difficult thoughts, emotions, and life experiences. Rather than trying to eliminate distressing feelings, ACT focuses on increasing psychological flexibility—learning to make room for uncomfortable emotions while taking meaningful action aligned with personal values. I help clients identify what matters most to them, build mindfulness skills, and develop practical strategies for moving forward even during challenging seasons of life.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients identify and understand the connection between their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. Together, we work to recognize unhelpful thinking patterns and develop more balanced, realistic perspectives. I also support clients in building practical coping skills and behavioral strategies they can use in daily life to reduce distress and improve functioning. CBT is collaborative, structured, and focused on achievable goals that support meaningful change over time.

Christian Counseling

I incorporate Christian Counseling by integrating evidence-based therapeutic approaches with a client’s faith, when desired. I support clients in exploring meaning, values, and coping through a Christian worldview, including the use of prayer, Scripture, and spiritual reflection as appropriate and client-led. Faith is never imposed; instead, it is used as a resource for healing, hope, and resilience in alignment with the client’s beliefs and preferences.
