New to Grow
Welcome. My practice is built upon a unique intersection of experience: 15 years of distinguished military service across active-duty Army and Air Force Reserve roles, advanced clinical social work, and public health analysis. Having practiced across the entire spectrum of care—including inpatient, intensive outpatient, and telehealth environments—I blend rigorous, evidence-based science with a practical, real-world understanding of high-stress environments and systemic challenges. I am dedicated to keeping my practice fresh and innovative, making it a professional priority to master a new therapeutic methodology every two years. My primary modalities are Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). Additionally, I draw from a diverse toolkit that includes Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-I), and Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) to tailor care to your exact goals. To ensure the highest quality of focused, dedicated care, I intentionally maintain a very small, selective caseload. I balance my clinical practice with full-time leadership in public-sector macro social work implementation. Consequently, my slot availability is highly specialized—offering lunch-hour and select weekend appointments designed specifically for lower-acuity, working professionals who need premium care that fits seamlessly around a demanding career schedule. If you require standard weekday business-hour appointments, I will unfortunately be unable to accommodate that need; however, if a focused lunch or weekend slot aligns with your routine, I look forward to working together.
Our first session is dedicated to understanding what brings you to therapy today by looking at the bigger picture of your life. Together, we will build a collaborative psychosocial assessment—essentially a snapshot of your unique history, upbringing, and the foundational patterns or "stories" formed in childhood. Because fully understanding your past is key to unpacking your present circumstances, this deep dive will likely take the entirety of our first meeting. As we wrap up and move into session two, we will seamlessly transition into action: co-selecting the specific, evidence-based therapeutic approach that best aligns with your goals and promises the greatest impact for your growth.
My clinical philosophy is built on a clear premise: therapy is an active laboratory for human optimization. I bring a distinct edge to my sessions forged by a 15-year military background and a clinical career built across the entire spectrum of care. My approach stands out because I reject passive, aimless sessions. Instead, I bring a structured, science-backed process for growth. Think of our work together like physical training. You cannot achieve peak physical performance by simply walking into a gym once a week with no routine; the same logic applies to your mental and cognitive strength. Our sessions are structured, purposeful, and paired with active practice in your daily life. Together, we will confront self-limiting stories, sharpen your psychological toolkit, and uncover a deep inner wisdom and stillness. If you are looking for an accountable partner dedicated to your tangible goal attainment, this is where we begin.
My ideal clients are driven professionals, military service members, veterans, and first responders who are ready to bridge the gap between where they are and where they want to be. I am best positioned to serve individuals who are motivated to enhance their daily performance, navigate high-stress environments, and overcome the professional or personal roadblocks holding them back. Whether you are dealing with the weight of operational stress, transitioning between demanding roles, or simply feeling stuck, you don't have to navigate it without a strategy. My practice is built for those who appreciate an action-oriented, evidence-based approach to growth. I specialize in utilizing Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and EMDR to provide practical, concrete skills that yield measurable results. We won’t just talk about the challenges you face; we will actively work to process past stressors, build psychological flexibility, and sharpen your emotional regulation. If your goal is to unlock your full potential, optimize your mindset, and master a tangible toolkit to thrive under pressure, we will make an excellent team. Together, we will turn insight into deliberate action.

DBT Skills Training is a powerful tool to unlock your optimum human potential and focuses on four core domains: mindfulness, distress tolerance, interpersonal effectiveness and emotion regulation.
Acceptance and commitment (ACT)
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) has a supplemental benefit of expounding upon advanced mindfulness approaches, whilst noticing any patterns in your life which are constricting you and potentially limiting you. Fused together with DBT or other methods -- I often find the best outcomes are unlocked!
EMDR
Used typically only with clients whose central focus is trauma, or those with phobias. We utilize EMDR to un-stick and process powerful trauma/phobia memories and remove their emotional power.
Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP)
NLP is typically leveraged as a supplement to a DBT journey. We can incorporate NLP visualizations like the "Swish Pattern", "Circle of Power" or other visualization exercises to move forward past points of friction or improve performance in a specific task/skill.
Cognitive Processing (CPT)
CPT is designed for those who enjoy writing and journaling. It is a structured and manualized approach with which we process trauma memories using the power of the written word. Due to the extensive level of writing required (it must be hand written to have the maximum effect), I only use this with clients who specifically request it and enjoy writing!
