As a licensed clinician, I typically work with young adults who are looking to overcome past traumas, going through life transitions, or are seeking help in learning to cope with daily stressors. I also thoroughly enjoying helping people find connections between past experiences and current life circumstances to help prevent repeating negative patterns. My work usually involves discussing any history of complex emotional trauma, identifying and challenging negative beliefs, and connecting with different parts of ourselves that play a role in how we think and how we interact with others and the world around us. I'm always open to talk therapy for people who are looking to vent about stressors and discuss ways to move forward.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

My approach to therapy is different for each person I work with because no two people are the same. I’m familiar with a variety of therapy techniques and pick and choose which make the most sense for your unique situation. Listening helps me figure out what method would be best! I will help you use your strengths to reach your goals and live your best life. In our first session, you can expect me to listen to your current circumstances, ask about your history, and get to know each other to see if we're a good fit for working together.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

Clients can expect me to be quirky, down-to-earth, understanding, and kind. I'm more likely to sit back and hold space as opposed to challenging my clients, however my approach is flexible and can be adapted to individual needs. I'm aware that life can be unpredictable at times, and that things can change pretty quickly. I'm able to easily switch gears when needed and feel prepared to join you on this journey. I'm excited to help you pave a path to reach your goals, find your inner peace, and be the best version of yourself.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I'm happy to work with both individuals seeking therapy for the first time as well as individuals with prior mental health knowledge and insight. I have a significant history of working with anxiety, depression, childhood trauma, adulthood trauma, adjustment concerns, life transitions, women's issues, relationship issues, codependency, family conflict, crisis, grief, and neurodivergence. My ideal client is typically interested in learning more about how their brain works, and how to use that knowledge to take action and create lasting change.

My treatment methods

Psychodynamic

I believe that our early childhood experiences significantly impact our thought processes, beliefs, moods, and behaviors as adults. I'm eager to help clients identify past experience that contribute to current symptoms to help clients understand themselves better and to find the best ways to process past events and move forward.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Our thoughts, moods and behaviors are all connected. By making a change in one area, it will likely affect the other two. I'm happy to help clients learn how to challenge negative thoughts, improve overall mood, and change negative behavior patterns.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

There are 4 sections to DBT: Distress tolerance, emotion regulation, mindfulness, and interpersonal effectiveness. DBT tends to be skills based, so I will introduce skills from those 4 different areas if my client is struggling with distress, emotions, staying in the moment, and interacting with others.

Narrative

Most of us make meaning from our life experiences. We can use narrative therapy to find meaning in past experiences, or improve your perspective on past or current circumstances.

Internal Family Systems (IFS)

Contrary to how Internal Family Systems sounds, this has nothing to do with your family. I usually describe this as learning about the family of different versions of you within yourself. Within IFS is the idea of "parts work." We all have protective parts, wounded parts, younger-feeling parts, more mature-feeling parts, more critical parts, softer parts, and so on. By connecting with these parts we can explore what role they play in your life and work to make changes within those parts if/when needed.
