Hello my name is Eugene Dunkley and I have worked as a Therapist for over 15 years. Being and feeling mentally healthy is one of the most important things we can achieve. I can proudly say that I have enjoyed walking with people on their journey. My therapeutic approach is focused on helping people identify thoughts and behaviors which hindered them from reaching their goals, and then developing tools to overcome those roadblocks. In our first session we will discuss the events that brought you to counseling and goals for therapy. We will discuss past personal history that may have contributed to any negative feelings or emotions. We will talk about expectations for the sessions eg. what you want out of a counselor, the length of sessions. We will also talk about skills that you feel you need to develop to live a more happy fulfilled life.
My strengths as a provider include being flexible to the clients needs and being willing to adapt to the clients preferences.

I currently use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy in Group and Individual Therapy. CBT aids in identifying and challenging unhelpful thoughts. Then learning practical self-help strategies.
