I have been dedicated to the medical field since 2011, starting my career as a nurse in the fast-paced environment of the emergency room. This experience gave me a solid foundation in acute care and the ability to respond quickly under pressure. Over time, I shifted my focus to mental health full-time, becoming a psychiatric nurse practitioner. I've worked across a variety of settings, including acute inpatient units, partial hospitalization programs (PHP), intensive outpatient programs (IOP), and traditional outpatient care. This diverse background allows me to understand and meet each client where they are in their mental health journey. My approach is tailored to the individual, combining clinical expertise with compassionate care to support recovery and wellness at every stage.
During our first session, we will take time to explore your history and listen carefully to your current concerns that have led you to seek help. This initial conversation is important because it helps me understand your unique situation and what you’re experiencing right now. After gathering this information, we’ll discuss various treatment options that could suit your needs. Together, we’ll create a personalized plan designed to support your goals and improve your well-being. My aim is to provide a supportive, clear, and hopeful start to your journey towards positive change.
One of my greatest strengths is being open-minded. I believe that getting to know each client personally is essential to understanding their unique needs. By taking the time to listen and learn about their individual circumstances, I can tailor my approach to provide the best possible support. Additionally, I am happy to coordinate with other providers the client is already working with, ensuring a seamless and comprehensive care experience. This collaborative mindset helps create a well-rounded plan that respects the client’s preferences and promotes their overall well-being. Being open-minded allows me to adapt, stay flexible, and prioritize what truly matters to each person I work with.
My ideal client is someone who is ready for a meaningful change. They show up for themselves with honesty and vulnerability, willing to explore different paths to improve their well-being. This person values open communication and listens thoughtfully to various treatment options, engaging in a collaborative process to decide what works best for them. Together, we create a supportive space where their input shapes the journey ahead.
