New to Grow
I’m a therapist who offers a thoughtful, practical space to help you understand patterns, navigate emotions, and move forward. I work collaboratively, blending evidence-based tools with a warm, human approach tailored to your needs. My style is calm, direct, and supportive, helping you make sense of what’s happening and what to do next. I offer a steady, nonjudgmental space to explore challenges and build healthier ways of relating to yourself and others.
In our first session together, here's what you can expect
In the first session, my priority is creating a sense of safety, respect, and genuine human connection. I take time to understand what brings you in, what you’ve been carrying, and what you hope might be different, without rushing to label or fix anything. Trust is built through patience, careful listening, and transparency—being clear about how I work while staying responsive to what feels most important to you. The first meeting is about establishing a collaborative relationship where you feel seen, understood, and free to move at a pace that feels right.
The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions
What stands out about my approach is the integration of clinical mental health training with a background in clinical practice. Following a successful career in respiratory care, I bring a deep familiarity with illness, uncertainty, caregiving stress, and the emotional impact of medical systems into my therapeutic work. This experience informs a steady, patient-centered approach that values presence, patience, and clear communication over quick fixes. I combine this medical insight with evidence-based psychotherapy to support thoughtful, sustainable change while keeping the focus on the human relationship rather than diagnosis or transactions.
The clients I'm best positioned to serve
I work with adults and couples who are functioning in many areas of life but feel stuck, disconnected, or overwhelmed internally. Many are navigating grief, relationship challenges, life transitions, or a persistent sense that something feels off or unresolved. I use the word patients, not clients, intentionally, not to imply a medical model but to downplay a transactional service. I emphasize care, patience, and the dignity of being accompanied through difficult moments. My work centers the human relationship itself—showing up consistently, thoughtfully, and with respect—while blending evidence-based tools with deeper reflection to support meaningful, intentional change over time.
