Hi! I'm a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Texas and Louisiana. I received my Master's from the University of Louisiana at Monroe and have practiced for 10 years. I help individuals, couples, and families navigate challenges such as anxiety, depression, marital conflicts, and career transitions. Using SFBT and a multicultural lens, I create personalized plans to foster resilience and meaningful change.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In the first session, we’ll explore your concerns, goals, and personal strengths. I’ll ask questions to understand your experiences and establish a safe, supportive environment. Together, we’ll create a collaborative plan tailored to your needs, focused on actionable steps and meaningful progress.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

My greatest strengths are my ability to build trusting relationships, use a multicultural lens to meet clients where they are and adapt therapy approaches to individual needs. With experience in Solution-Focused Brief Therapy and systems theory, I foster resilience, empower change, and create tailored solutions.

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

I have experience working with individuals, couples, and families facing challenges like anxiety, depression, marital conflicts, trauma, career transitions, anger, or parenting struggles. My expertise also extends to veterans, teens, and those seeking culturally sensitive, solution-focused therapy tailored to their unique needs.

My treatment methods

Strength-Based

Over the past 10 years as a counselor, I have extensively integrated Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) into my practice across diverse settings, including private practices, counseling agencies, university counseling centers, mental health facilities, and as a VA-preferred provider. I have also applied SFBT principles while working with unique populations, such as military members, ex-convicts transitioning into civilian life, and veterans. In addition, I specialize in marital and premarital counseling, where SFBT has proven to be an invaluable approach for fostering effective communication, mutual understanding, and goal alignment between partners. SFBT aligns closely with my strength-based counseling approach, which focuses on empowering clients by highlighting their existing resources, resilience, and potential for growth. To ensure clients feel heard, I listen to their stories about past and current problems. Then, I guide clients toward envisioning their preferred future and identifying the steps needed to achieve it.
