My name is Melissa Benzaquen, a bilingual Licensed Mental Health Counselor born and raised in Venezuela. I help adults who are struggling with anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, life transitions, relationship challenges, and emotional overwhelm find greater clarity, confidence, and emotional balance. I am especially passionate about supporting women who feel emotionally exhausted, stuck, disconnected from themselves, or trapped in unhealthy relationship patterns. Many of my clients come to therapy feeling lost, overwhelmed, or unsure of how to move forward. Together, we work toward rebuilding self-worth, strengthening emotional resilience, and creating a life that feels more peaceful, fulfilling, and aligned with their values. I believe therapy should be a safe, supportive space where you feel heard, understood, and empowered. My goal is to help clients feel emotionally stronger, more hopeful, and more confident in their ability to navigate life's challenges and create meaningful change.
During our first session, we'll discuss what brings you to therapy, your current challenges, and the goals you would like to achieve. I will ask questions about your personal history, relationships, and emotional well-being so I can better understand your situation and determine how to best support you. My goal is to create a supportive and nonjudgmental space where you feel heard and understood. Together, we will begin identifying the challenges you are facing and develop a plan to help you move toward greater emotional well-being and lasting change.
