New to Grow
I’m a licensed therapist who helps people reconnect with their emotions when they’ve spent years pushing them aside just to get through life. Many of the clients I work with are thoughtful, capable, and deeply caring, but feel disconnected, overwhelmed, or hard on themselves without fully understanding why. My approach is warm, collaborative, and grounded in Emotion-Focused work, helping you slow down, understand what’s happening inside, and build a more compassionate relationship with yourself. Therapy with me isn’t about fixing you, it’s about helping you feel more like you again.
In our first session together, here's what you can expect
In our first session, we’ll focus on helping you feel comfortable and understood. We’ll talk about what’s been bringing you to therapy, what feels hardest right now, and what you’re hoping might change. I’ll ask thoughtful questions to better understand your experiences, emotional patterns, and what life has been like for you, at your pace. There’s no pressure to have the “right words” or to share everything at once. My goal is for you to leave the session feeling grounded, supported, and with a clearer sense of whether working together feels like a good fit.
The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions
I create a calm, emotionally safe space where clients can slow down and understand their inner world without pressure or judgment. I’m especially skilled at working with shame, guilt, self-doubt, and emotional shutdown, helping clients reconnect with themselves in a way that feels grounded and sustainable. My work blends thoughtful guidance with genuine human connection, leading to clarity and lasting change.
The clients I'm best positioned to serve
I work best with adults who are outwardly functioning but inwardly struggling, people who have learned to stay strong, capable, or self-reliant while quietly feeling disconnected, overwhelmed, or emotionally stuck. Many of my clients wrestle with self-doubt, guilt, emotional shutdown, or a sense that they’ve lost touch with themselves or their relationships. You might know something isn’t working anymore, even if you can’t fully explain it yet. My ideal clients want to understand their emotions, feel more secure in themselves, and build deeper, more authentic connections, starting from the inside out.
Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT)
I use Emotion-Focused Individual Therapy (EFIT) to help people make sense of their emotions instead of feeling overwhelmed or controlled by them. Many of my clients have learned to push feelings down, overthink them, or judge themselves for having them at all. In our work together, we slow things down and gently explore what your emotions are trying to communicate, especially the deeper feelings beneath anxiety, depression, numbness, or self-criticism. My goal is to help you build a safer, more compassionate relationship with yourself so you can feel more grounded, connected, and emotionally whole.
