My name is Selina and I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor, dedicated to helping individuals find balance and growth in life. I am here to provide guidance and support towards healing. I have been using Cognitive Behavior Therapy in my practice and with teens in school settings. This therapy method is helpful to many because it focuses on the relationship between thoughts, feelings and behaviors. It has helped my clients identify and change negative or unhelpful thought patterns and behaviors, promoting healthier emotional regulation and coping skills.
My experience with this method has taught me that trauma profoundly changes shapes thoughts, feelings and behaviors. Trauma Informed Care creates a therapeutic space that prioritizes safety, trustworthiness and collaboration.
Eclectic therapy is an approach which integrates techniques and concepts from various theoretical orientations to create a personalized treatment treatment plan for each individual.
