I specialize in helping individuals struggling with depression, anxiety, grief, and trauma achieve the happier and more fulfilling lives they desire. These challenges are often complicated by lack of motivation, trouble experiencing pleasure, self-deprecating thoughts, interpersonal conflicts, and feeling as if you don’t have direction in your life. Some clients know what they want, but they have obstacles that prevent them from moving forward. Other clients are searching for change and want to create meaning in their lives. Wherever you are, I will provide support and compassion as we work towards your goals and aspirations. I do not provide opinions for emotional support animals, disability, or fitness to return to work/other activities for clients who are not well-established at the time of the request. I do not provide couples therapy.
In our first session, I will ask questions to get to know you, including your background, interests, and current struggles. We will then collaborate on a plan and therapeutic techniques to help you achieve the changes you desire.
Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) Positive Psychology Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT)
I have treated a variety of mental health issues ranging from mild to severely debilitating with clients in the community, intensive outpatient programs, and hospitalized in facilities. I enjoy working with members of diverse groups, including LGBTQ, the Deaf community, and geriatric populations. My most extensive experience is in the areas of grief and trauma, especially pregnancy and infant loss. I allow clients to share their life altering events and process them at their own pace. We focus on uncovering and challenging current beliefs about themselves and the world that have resulted from these events. These long-held beliefs may be negatively affecting the client's mood and holding them back from achieving their dreams. These therapeutic techniques start clients on the path towards healing and posttraumatic growth.
