I have a doctorate in psychology, and I am a licensed clinical psychologist. I specialize in helping individuals struggling with depression, anxiety, grief, and trauma achieve the happier and more fulfilling lives they desire. Attaining these goals is often complicated by lack of motivation, trouble experiencing pleasure, self-deprecating thoughts, interpersonal conflicts, and feeling an absence of direction in life. Some clients know what they want, but they have obstacles that prevent them from moving forward. Other clients are searching for change and want to create meaning in their lives. Wherever you are, I will provide support and compassion as we work towards your goals and aspirations. I do not provide opinions for emotional support animals, disability, or fitness to return to work/other activities for clients who are not well-established at the time of the request. I do not provide couples therapy.
I inquire about the client’s struggles, background, and desires for the future. Therapy is tailored to the client’s preferences, whether they like troubleshooting emerging issues, tackling long-standing problems, or a combination of both. Clients learn to recognize and challenge negative thoughts about themselves and the world that hold them back.
I have treated a variety of mental health issues ranging from mild to severely debilitating with clients in the community, intensive outpatient programs, and hospitalized in facilities. I enjoy working with members of diverse groups, including LGBTQ+ and geriatric populations. My most extensive experience is in the areas of grief and traumatic loss, especially pregnancy and infant loss. I allow clients to share their life altering events and process them at their own pace. We focus on uncovering and challenging negative beliefs about themselves and the world that have resulted from these events and may be negatively affecting the client's mood and holding them back from achieving their dreams. We can then start the path towards healing and posttraumatic growth.
I enjoy working with clients who have suffered pregnancy or infant loss, geriatric clients, and those who identify as LGBTQ+.

I feel like I can talk to her openly about anything which doesn't come easy to me. She encourages me to be better and try to ignore my toxic thoughts instead of engaging with them. I think if I ended up with someone else, I wouldn't have found a better way to approach my self-negativity like that. I also like that she relates to and directly responds to what I am saying instead of just being like "mhm," it makes it feel more like a phone call instead of therapy.

I needed therapy because of a car accident that traumatized me and made driving unsafe. She worked with me until I felt fully confident again. Then we dove into EIP therapy and it removed many stumbling blocks. Now she is empowering me to publish my children's books. So grateful for this journey!
