New to Grow
When you are carrying the heavy weight of trauma, depression, anxiety, or deep grief, just getting through the day can feel completely overwhelming. You don’t have to navigate this exhaustion alone. I spent the last decade treating adults with cancer and trauma as well as teens with anxiety, school issues/social issues, and depression. My wide range of experience has given me to tools to help my clients feel like themselves again. If working with a therapist that is truly invested in seeing you grow and thrive, we would be a great fit.
Clients often tell me they feel: Understood without needing to over-explain, relieved to have a space that’s truly their own, and to be able to slow down in a way they haven’t been able to elsewhere. Our work is collaborative, thoughtful, and paced in a way that respects both your capacity and your goals.
I have experience treating adolescents, adults, with anxiety, depression, trauma, and grief. I also have years of experience in counseling individuals with cancer and have had extensive training in treating those who have been through suicide loss and traumatic loss. I currently hold certifications as a Clinical Trauma Professional and a Grief Professional.
Adult, grief, trauma, anxiety, depression, cancer, suicide loss. Clients who are motivated for change and will practice what is talked about in therapy. Clients who want to look inward and receive the information rather than become resistant. Clients are successful in therapy when they are willing to reflect, pause, and be action oriented rather than wanting others to change who they are.
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is one of the approaches I use to help clients understand the connection between their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. When we are struggling with anxiety, depression, grief, or major life changes, it can be easy to get caught in patterns of negative thinking, worry, avoidance, or self-criticism. Together, we’ll slow those patterns down and look at what is happening beneath the surface. In therapy, I may help you: * Identify thought patterns that are increasing anxiety, sadness, or self-doubt * Challenge unhelpful or unrealistic thoughts and develop more balanced ways of thinking * Recognize how your thoughts influence your emotions and behaviors * Build practical coping skills for managing difficult emotions * Work through avoidance and gradually approach things that feel difficult or uncomfortable * Develop healthier behavioral patterns and routines * Practice skills between sessions so that progress extends beyond the therapy room CBT is not about simply “thinking positive” or convincing yourself that everything is okay. Instead, we work toward developing a more balanced and realistic perspective while identifying behaviors that can help you move toward the life you want. My approach is collaborative and individualized. I won’t simply tell you what to think or do. We’ll work together to understand your experiences, identify what is keeping you stuck, and develop tools that fit you and your goals.
