New to Grow
Have you been feeling stuck somehow? Are you at a tipping point? I work with women, men, young adults, and teens looking for tools and strategies to overcome what feels overwhelming. At some point in life, most people find themselves in need of a little extra help. I help people navigate anxiety, trauma, life transitions, and more with a genuine, down-to-earth, and warm approach. My goal is to create a space where clients feel both supported and challenged. Together, we’ll find the balance between acceptance and change that will lead to the healing you envision.
Our first session is a chance for us to get to know each other and explore what brings you to therapy. I'll ask about your history and what's happening for you now. We'll start to build a plan together and we’ll move at your pace, one step at a time.
In session, you can expect me to give you every ounce of my attention. I'll listen patiently, be curious about who you are and what makes you work, and I'll offer solutions and strategies to get you where you want to be. I'll challenge gently when needed and I'll reflect the good I see in you.
I work with women, men, young adults, and teens looking for tools and strategies to overcome what feels overwhelming. I have specific experience with women's issues, motherhood, college students, health anxiety, sleep disorders, chronic pain, trauma, and spirituality. People looking to work on boundaries, nervous system regulation, family conflicts, and life adjustments also fall into my experience areas. If you're looking for a seasoned therapist with life experience, an ability to identify with you without judgment, someone who will help you look at your patterns with curiosity - I may be a great fit for you! I encourage my clients to take an active role in their therapy which includes some homework and intentional practice of strategies throughout the week.
I identify as
EMDR
EMDR helps challenge the "lies" we've come to believe and undo the hold trauma has over us.
Attachment-based
By taking a look at your early childhood attachments, we can help solve some questions about the patterns you currently hold.
Christian Counseling
I encourage the incorporation of the Christian faith and enjoy coming alongside my clients to support this faith.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
CBT is a standard treatment for anxiety and helps us challenge negative or unhelpful thoughts, opening up new neural pathways for more positive and helpful thinking.
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-i)
I use CBT-I to help people challenge anxious or negative thinking about sleep while promoting relaxation and habits that help retrain the brain for healthy sleep.
