New to Grow
Hi, I’m Shaunesse Bell, a Licensed Professional Counselor who works with individuals navigating anxiety, depression, burnout, ADHD, identity shifts, relationship challenges, and life transitions. My approach is warm, reflective, and insight-oriented, helping clients better understand themselves, process unresolved experiences, and build healthier ways of relating to themselves and others. I strive to create a space where clients feel safe enough to be honest, supported, and fully human while working toward healing and growth.
Our first session is a space for us to get to know each other and begin building a sense of comfort and trust. We’ll talk about what brings you to therapy, the challenges you’ve been facing, your goals for treatment, and any important background experiences that may be impacting you. I’ll also answer any questions you have about the therapy process so you can feel more at ease and supported as we begin working together.
One of my greatest strengths as a therapist is pattern recognition and helping clients make connections they may not have previously noticed within themselves, their relationships, and their emotional experiences. I help clients identify recurring themes, coping patterns, attachment dynamics, and behavioral cycles that may be contributing to distress or keeping them feeling stuck. My approach combines insight, curiosity, and reflection to help clients better understand themselves and create more intentional ways of living, relating, and healing.
I am best positioned to serve high-achieving adults, particularly Black men and women, mothers, and professionals navigating anxiety, depression, burnout, ADHD, identity shifts, relationship challenges, life transitions, and unresolved emotional wounds. Many of my clients are used to being “the strong one” for others while silently struggling themselves. I work well with individuals seeking deeper self-understanding, emotional healing, healthier relationships, stronger boundaries, and a greater sense of connection to themselves beyond survival mode.

I identify as
Psychodynamic
I use a psychodynamic approach in therapy, which means we explore how past experiences, relationships, and unconscious patterns may be influencing your present emotions, behaviors, and relationships. Together, we look beneath the surface to understand the “why” behind recurring struggles, emotional triggers, and coping patterns. My goal is to help clients gain deeper self-awareness, process unresolved experiences, and reconnect with who they are beyond survival mode.
