New to Grow
I work with children, parents, and couples, helping families navigate life's challenges, strengthen relationships, and develop healthier patterns of communication and connection. Whether your child is experiencing emotional or behavioral difficulties, you're facing parenting challenges, or you're seeking to improve your relationship with your partner, I approach therapy with compassion, curiosity, and respect for your unique experiences. I understand that it's not always easy to start therapy, and I want to make this process successful for you.
During our first session, we'll spend time getting to know each other and discussing what brings you to therapy. My goal is to create a comfortable, supportive environment where you feel heard and respected from the very beginning. We'll talk about your current concerns, personal history, strengths, and what you hope to gain from therapy. For children, the first session may involve meeting with parents or caregivers to gather information about the child's needs, strengths, and family dynamics. For couples, we'll explore the concerns that brought you to therapy and discuss your goals for the relationship. The first session is also an opportunity for you to ask questions about my approach and determine whether I am a good fit for your needs. Together, we'll begin identifying goals and developing a plan that feels meaningful and achievable. There is no pressure to share everything at once—therapy is a process, and we'll move at a pace that feels comfortable for you!
I view therapy as a collaborative process. Together, we will identify what's working, address obstacles, and develop practical strategies that support growth and resilience. I recognize that reaching out for help takes courage, and I am committed to providing a supportive environment where individuals, couples, and families can feel empowered to create positive and lasting change.
Relationship issues? Parenting issues? Stuck in a rut? Anxiety? Struggling with a transition and not knowing where to go? I can help you reach your goals, feel better, and improve daily functioning. Its not easy to make the leap into therapy, having the right therapist and right mindset can make all of the difference. Remember: you are the captain of the ship!
