Hi, I'm Quinesha, a licensed clinical social worker in North Carolina. I work with adults navigating anxiety, depression, identity, and life's harder seasons. I believe healing starts with feeling heard, not just labeled. I like to start where you are, and I welcome open conversation on any topic. If you're ready to explore what therapy can look like for you, I'd love to connect.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

Your first session is an intake: a chance to share what brought you here in your own words, at your own pace. We will work together to develop your goals and build a safe, open environment from day one. There is no script, and nothing you say will surprise me. Most clients leave that first conversation feeling relieved they finally said it out loud.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

My approach to therapy is grounded in compassion, collaboration, and authenticity. I believe every person deserves to feel heard, understood, and respected, regardless of what they’re facing. Rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach, I tailor each session to your unique needs, strengths, and goals. I strive to create a safe, nonjudgmental space where you can speak openly, explore difficult emotions, and feel supported throughout your journey. Drawing from evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), Solution-Focused Therapy, and trauma-informed care, I help clients develop practical coping strategies while addressing the underlying issues contributing to their challenges. My experience working in inpatient behavioral health and crisis settings has strengthened my ability to support individuals through both acute mental health concerns and everyday life stressors with empathy, professionalism, and hope. I view therapy as a partnership. Together, we’ll identify meaningful goals, celebrate progress, and work toward lasting change at a pace that feels right for you.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I am best positioned to serve individuals who know what they are looking for in receiving services. Sometimes we don’t know the end goal of seeking services, but being able to identify the identifying problem we will be able to create a proper treatment plan and goal. Being in a mindset and knowing what concerns are will be a major upside of receiving effective treatment

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I often use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy in my practice. In your first session, we'll explore what brought you to therapy and then decide the most appropriate ways to help you make progress. With CBT, we’ll look at how your thoughts affect your emotions and experience. During treatment, I'll help you learn how to push back against those thoughts to change your feelings for the better.
