New to Grow
I am currently an LCSW and have experience with working with individuals who have mental health diagnosis. I graduated from Fayetteville State University with both my masters and bachelor’s degree and then went to pursue my clinical license. I have experience with working with individuals who have diagnosed mental illness and crisis/safety planning. I utilize various methods to meet the client where they are so a safe and enjoyable therapeutic relationship is developed
We will start with an introductory session, to where you will be able to share what brought you to therapy. We will work collaboratively on treatment planning to create a safe environment
There are several approaches to starting therapy, but I like to start where you are. Throughout our sessions not only will you learn different skills and techniques, but you will learn yourself and we will be able to communicate openly with any topic
I am best positioned to serve individuals who know what they are looking for in receiving services. Sometimes we don’t know the end goal of seeking services, but being able to identify the identifying problem we will be able to create a proper treatment plan and goal. Being in a mindset and knowing what concerns are will be a major upside of receiving effective treatment
I identify as
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I often use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy in my practice. In your first session, we'll explore what brought you to therapy and then decide the most appropriate ways to help you make progress. With CBT, we’ll look at how your thoughts affect your emotions and experience. During treatment, I'll help you learn how to push back against those thoughts to change your feelings for the better.
