As a dual board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and Family Nurse Practitioner, I have extensive years of clinical experience providing a holistic, patient-centered approach that promotes mental well-being, prevents mental illnesses and offers early intervention and treatment. My goal is not only to relieve symptoms, but also to improve overall functioning, foster personal growth, enhance quality of life, and promote social integration.

After working as a medical provider for many years, I soon realized the significant need for mental health providers and the disparities faced by mental health patients. With a strong sense of patience, genuine compassion and a deep passion for assisting others, I decided to make a difference by helping one patient at a time. To achieve positive outcomes, I strongly believe that goals should be developed collaboratively, tailored to the individual, both challenging and attainable, and include a measurable component
Dedicated to staying up-to-date on cutting-edge advances in psychiatric care, I primarily provide culturally competent care to adolescents and adults. I utilize effective communication which includes providing emotional support through active empathy and validation to reduce stigma and promote open dialogue.
The core principle of CBT is to alter unhelpful ways of thinking and behaving and to learn new coping skills in order to reduce emotional distress and improve daily functioning. CBT can be integrated with various populations including adolescents, adults, couples, and groups. I am committed to providing a service that is tailored to each client’s goals, strengths, challenges, and needs. I also emphasize the fundamentals of CBT, which include identifying thoughts, feelings, and behaviors, dissecting dysfunctional thoughts, and reframing them to be more accurate.
Biofeedback helps patients become aware of their thoughts, feelings and behaviors related to their physiology. Over time, they can learn to self‐regulate without needing feedback screens in front of them. I use biofeedback to enhance quality of life and clinical status, and potentially reverse biological aspects of various conditions.
