I am a Licensed Professional Counselor dedicated to helping individuals navigate life's challenges with compassion, authenticity, and practical support. I specialize in working with anxiety, depression, trauma, life transitions, relationship concerns, self-esteem, and stress management. My approach is person-centered, trauma-informed, and strengths-based, integrating evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) while tailoring treatment to each client's unique needs. I strive to create a safe, nonjudgmental space where clients feel heard, understood, and empowered to make meaningful, lasting changes. My goal is to help you build resilience, gain confidence, and develop the tools needed to live a healthier, more fulfilling life.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

Your first session is an opportunity for us to get to know one another and begin building a trusting therapeutic relationship. We'll discuss what brought you to therapy, the challenges you're currently facing, and what you hope to accomplish through counseling. I'll ask questions about your personal history, relationships, strengths, and any factors that may be impacting your emotional well-being so I can gain a better understanding of your unique experiences. This session is also your opportunity to ask questions and determine whether I am the right fit for your needs. Together, we'll identify your initial goals and begin developing a personalized treatment plan that supports your growth. My goal is for you to leave your first session feeling heard, supported, and with a clear understanding of the next steps in your therapeutic journey.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I believe that meaningful change begins with feeling genuinely seen, heard, and understood. One of my greatest strengths is my ability to build authentic therapeutic relationships while creating a safe, supportive environment where clients can be honest without fear of judgment. I balance empathy with accountability, helping clients feel encouraged while also challenging them to recognize their strengths, develop new perspectives, and make lasting changes. My approach is collaborative, practical, and individualized. Rather than using a one-size-fits-all method, I tailor treatment to each client's unique goals, values, and life experiences. I incorporate evidence-based approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), trauma-informed care, solution-focused techniques, and person-centered therapy to provide clients with tools they can apply in their everyday lives. Clients often appreciate my calm, compassionate presence and my ability to help them feel comfortable discussing difficult topics. My goal is not only to help clients overcome current challenges but also to equip them with the confidence, resilience, and coping skills they need to continue thriving long after therapy has ended.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

My ideal clients are individuals who are ready to better understand themselves, work through life's challenges, and create meaningful, lasting change. They may be struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma, stress, relationship concerns, grief, life transitions, self-esteem, or feeling overwhelmed by the demands of everyday life. Whether you are seeking healing, personal growth, or simply a safe space to process your experiences, I am committed to meeting you where you are with compassion and respect. I work well with clients who are open to exploring new perspectives and developing practical skills that support emotional wellness and resilience. Therapy is a collaborative process, and together we will create goals that align with your values and the life you want to build. For clients who desire it, I also offer faith-based counseling from a Christian perspective. I am happy to integrate biblical principles, prayer, and discussions of faith into the therapeutic process while continuing to provide evidence-based, clinically sound care. Whether you prefer a faith-based approach or a traditional clinical approach, I will tailor our work together to honor your beliefs, preferences, and individual needs.

My treatment methods

Christian Counseling

When requested by the client, I integrate Christian faith into the counseling process in a way that is respectful, compassionate, and clinically appropriate. Faith-based therapy may include exploring biblical principles, prayer, forgiveness, grace, purpose, and spiritual growth as they relate to the client's goals and challenges. I believe that faith can be a valuable source of strength, healing, and hope for many individuals. My approach is always client-centered, meaning I follow your preferences and comfort level. Whether you would like your faith to be a central part of our work together or simply acknowledged as an important aspect of your life, I will tailor our sessions to honor your beliefs while incorporating evidence-based therapeutic interventions to support your emotional, mental, and spiritual well-being.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients identify and understand the connection between their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. Together, we explore unhelpful thinking patterns that may be contributing to emotional distress and develop healthier, more balanced ways of thinking and responding to life's challenges. CBT is a practical, goal-oriented approach that equips clients with skills they can use outside of therapy. I work collaboratively with clients to build effective coping strategies, improve problem-solving, manage anxiety and depression, strengthen self-esteem, and create lasting behavioral changes that support their overall well-being.

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

I use Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) to help clients identify their strengths, build on what is already working, and develop practical solutions to the challenges they are facing. Rather than focusing solely on problems, we work together to clarify your goals, recognize your existing resources, and create realistic steps toward meaningful change. This approach is collaborative, empowering, and goal-oriented. By highlighting progress, resilience, and past successes, I help clients gain confidence in their ability to overcome obstacles and make positive changes that align with their values and desired future.
