Hello!! My name is Chloe Meshel-Wood, and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who is passionate about creating a safe, open, and supportive space for my clients. I have learned that getting to know you and understanding your values is an important part of the healing process. My goal is to support you in navigating challenges, building on your strengths, and ultimately feeling more confident taking charge of your own life. I believe that every person is unique, and I strive to recognize and highlight the strengths in each client I work with. If you feel like we might be a good fit, please connect so I can learn more about you. Starting therapy can often feel like a challenging step, and I would be honored to support you through that process.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In our first session, we’ll begin with an intake and assessment so I can get to know you and learn a bit about your background. I’ll want to hear about your hopes for the outcome of our work together, any symptoms you may be experiencing, and the coping skills you’ve used in the past. I’ll also make sure there’s space for you to ask any questions and share your expectations of me as your therapist.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

My greatest strength is undoubtedly my commitment to the progress and happiness of my clients. More than anything, I want to be here for you, and build a trusting relationship. I have a background in perinatal mental health and hospital social work, and I have had the privilege of working with people of many different ages, personalities, and cultural backgrounds. I want to get to know you, learn from you, and grow together in the therapeutic process. Through my experience in the mental health field, I’ve developed a variety of tools and approaches that can help support you in becoming the happiest and healthiest version of yourself.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I am best positioned to serve people who are open to self-reflection and curious about understanding themselves on a deeper level. They may be navigating a life transition, feeling overwhelmed, or simply sensing that something in their life could feel more balanced or fulfilling. I connect well with clients who want a supportive space to explore their thoughts, emotions, and values, and who are interested in building healthier coping skills and stronger self-awareness. They may be working toward feeling more confident in themselves, improving their relationships, or learning how to navigate stress and uncertainty with greater resilience. We will be a great fit for each other if you are willing to show up, be open to the process, and work together toward creating a life that feels more aligned with who you truly are.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I integrate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) into my sessions, to help clients identify and shift unhelpful thought patterns that influence their emotions and behaviors. I work collaboratively with my clients to recognize cognitive distortions, understand the connection between thoughts, feelings, and behaviors, and develop practical coping strategies they can use outside of sessions. I am is deeply passionate about honoring each client's self-determination and take time to understand their unique personalities, values, and individual needs to ensure care feels respectful and personalized.

Strength-Based

I often incorporate Strengths-Based Therapy into my clinical practice to help support clients in accessing their own resources, increasing confidence, and creating meaningful change. With a background in medical social work and behavioral therapy, I use the strengths-based approach to foster each clients voice and capability, when navigating complex medical and psychosocial stressors. I aid clients in identifying existing coping skills, support systems, cultural values, and past successes to reinforce each individual’s capacity for growth and adaptation. I believe that every person possesses strengths that can be mobilized to promote stability and healing.
