Yaneka Willis
Hello, I’m excited you found me. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor-Supervisor in the state of Texas offering many years of education and counseling experience in different settings including individual sessions, homeless shelters, church settings, and community outreach.
I am both a nurturing and direct therapist who utilizes a collaborative and compassionate approach to counseling in an effort to foster hope, healing, and resilience.
Are you currently struggling with anxiety (often masked as stress), trauma, or even identity issues? Are you trying to navigate these areas of your life alone, because you feel no one truly understands what you are going through? You have been trying to navigate these areas in your life the best that you know how. However, you are growing tired and desire to try something different. I have worked with many who have felt the same as you. I hear you and I do understand. I would be honored to walk alongside you, while you are on your healing journey to becoming a better you. If you have ever wondered if therapy was for you? I’d say, yes, therapy is for you if you find yourself struggling to make decisions. Don’t know rather you are coming or going. Unsure about who you are currently. You are struggling to find peace. The provider will send a video link prior to the session.
First session
In our first session, we'll start with introductions, then get right into the specific challenges you're facing. This will help me create a tailored plan for us to work through in follow-up sessions.
Strengths
My specialties include working with women as a certified trauma professional who suffers from identity and women's issues. This could include anxiety, trauma, and life challenges. I assist you in understanding the things that are holding you back with an in-depth approach. After recognizing underlying problems, I help you fully realize your strengths and adjust certain behaviors and thoughts to see things in a different, healthier way.
Ideal clients
I am focused on women ages 18+ suffering from anxiety, women issues, and trauma
Treatment methods
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to help clients identify unhelpful thought patterns, manage emotions, and build healthier coping skills. My approach is trauma-informed, faith-integrated, and focused on empowering clients to shift their mindset, strengthen resilience, and create meaningful change in their daily lives.
Mindfulness-Based Therapy
I use Mindfulness-Based Therapy to help clients slow down, become more present, and respond to life's challenges with clarity and calm. This approach integrates breathing, grounding, and awareness techniques that promote emotional regulation and self-compassion. Clients learn to quiet mental noise, reconnect with themselves, and cultivate peace from within.
Faith-based therapy
I offer Faith-Based Therapy for clients who desire to integrate spiritual principles into their healing journey. This approach combines clinical strategies with biblical truth to promote hope, forgiveness, and restoration. By addressing both the emotional and spiritual aspects of wellness, clients learn to align their faith with practical tools for growth, peace, and purpose.
