Hello, I’m Olayemi Ikhile, DNP, PMHNP-BC, FNP-BC, a dual board-certified Family and Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with over 13 years of healthcare experience.
My approach combines medication management with supportive therapy, psychoeducation, and CBT-informed techniques to help clients feel empowered, supported, and equipped with practical tools for long-term emotional wellness.
First session
During our first session, we will take time to discuss your concerns, symptoms, personal history, stressors, and treatment goals in a supportive and nonjudgmental environment. I will ask questions to better understand your emotional, mental, and overall wellness so we can develop an individualized treatment plan tailored to your needs. We may discuss coping strategies, lifestyle factors, therapy recommendations, and medication options if appropriate. My goal is to help you feel heard, supported, and comfortable while creating a collaborative plan to help you move toward improved emotional wellness and daily functioning.
Strengths
My greatest strengths are my compassionate, patient-centered approach and my ability to combine medication management with practical therapeutic support. I focus on creating a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where clients feel heard and empowered. I incorporate CBT-informed techniques, psychoeducation, and wellness-focused strategies to help clients better understand their symptoms, build healthy coping skills, and achieve meaningful, lasting improvement in their daily lives.
Ideal clients
I work best with adolescents and adults experiencing anxiety, depression, ADHD, stress, burnout, mood changes, sleep difficulties, and life transitions. Many of my clients are high-functioning individuals who feel overwhelmed, emotionally exhausted, or stuck despite managing daily responsibilities. My approach combines medication management with supportive therapy, CBT-informed techniques, and psychoeducation to help clients build healthier coping skills, improve emotional wellness, and function more confidently in daily life.
Treatment methods
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I use CBT-informed interventions to help patients: Identify negative or unhelpful thought patterns Develop healthier coping strategies Reduce anxiety, depression, and stress symptoms Improve emotional regulation Build routines that support sleep, focus, and overall wellness Challenge cognitive distortions such as catastrophizing, overthinking, and self-criticism
Psychoeducation
I incorporate psychoeducation into treatment to help clients better understand their mental health symptoms, medications, coping strategies, and overall wellness. My goal is to empower patients with practical tools and knowledge to support long-term emotional health.
