Hi! I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, having graduated with Master's degree in Counseling from Nova Southeastern University in 2008. I have obtained my professional license in 2013 and have over 12 years of experience. I worked with variety of populations and multiple settings, those including in-patient and outpatient hospital settings, day care facilities, as well as serving for many years as an in-home therapist. Majority of my experience includes working with adults struggling with career and personal lifestyle changes, as well as going coping with various romantic and familiar relationships' dynamics. I focus on many issues including but not limited to life transitions, career changes, anxiety, depression, self-esteem, relationships, and many others.
In our first session together, we'll start with brief introductions, then dive into the specific challenges you're facing. This will help me create a tailored treatment plan for us to work through in follow-up sessions. I also offer specific diagnostic tools, such as Beck's Depression Inventory, as well as multiple self-esteem and personality assessments to further help guide you into getting to know yourself and your untapped strengths.
I found that my greatest strength as a provider includes building quick and lasting rapport with clients and helping them discover the best version of themselves. I have been told frequently that I offer a compassionate and safe therapeutic environment and have enjoyed very successful outcomes across various populations.
I love working with young professionals who may be at various stages of their careers, helping them explore various treatment strategies on how to address their life, relationship and career struggles. I also have a lot of experience working with adolescents, helping them to focus on their deepest fears and potential challenges they are facing in their life.
While using Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy as a primary modality, I overall consider myself an eclectic therapist, as I prefer to customize my approach, depending on the issue experienced by the client. In this way, I find there are times where other treatment methods are more appropriate. For example, I also utilize Adlerian Therapy, Trauma-Focused Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Person-Centered Therapy, Feminist Therapy, Internal Family Systems, Existential Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Gestalt Therapy, Narrative Therapy, and Neuro-Linguistic Programming. I am excited to share my knowledge with my clients and help them empower themselves and their personal relationships.
