New to Grow
Hi, I’m Rodniqua. I believe meaningful change begins with feeling genuinely seen, heard, and understood. My approach to therapy is honest, personable, and collaborative, creating a space where you can show up as your authentic self without fear of judgment. I draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) to tailor treatment to each person’s unique needs and goals. I have experience working with individuals facing anxiety, depression, trauma, substance use, suicidal thoughts, and other high-acuity mental health concerns. Whether you’re navigating a crisis or working toward long-term growth, I’m committed to helping you build practical skills, strengthen resilience, and find hope through compassionate, evidence-based care.
In the first session, I’ll introduce myself to you more personally and we will discuss what has brought you to therapy. We will talk about how you would like for life to look different and I’ll gather information to understand your world better. We will go at your pace and develop goals to guide our work. By the end of our first session, my hope is that you’ll feel comfortable, understood, and know that you don’t have to navigate this journey alone.
My approach is warm, honest, and collaborative. I strive to create a space where you feel safe enough to be yourself, knowing you will be met with compassion, respect, and curiosity. I also understand the courage it takes to begin therapy because I’m not only a therapist—I’m a client, too. I know firsthand how vulnerable it can feel to share your story, and I consider it a privilege when someone trusts me with theirs.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)
I have used DBT with adults and adolescence across the lifespan. I often incorporate Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) because I believe healing isn’t about becoming a different person—it’s about learning how to respond to life’s challenges in healthier, more effective ways. I work alongside my clients to develop skills that strengthen emotional regulation, improve communication and boundaries, and increase resilience during difficult moments. I emphasize validation alongside accountability, helping clients accept where they are while building the confidence and skills to create lasting change.
Collaborative Assessment and Management of Suicidality (CAMS)
CAMS is a suicide specific framework that I use to help people discover the drivers to their suicidal thinking. I work to build rapport and to support clients' work dismantle the thought patters that lead to suidal thinking. We use DBT in addition to work towards "building a life that feels worth living"
EMDR
I work to support and facilitate a walk through of traumatic events in a way that uses brain stimulation to help the eents feel less impactful, and painful. then we work on changing your perspective and helping the new perspective to saturate your brain in a deeper way that often neutralizes the effect of negative memories and trauma. This is intensive work and I only accept a few patients for EMDR at a time.
