I'm Joceline Baptiste, MSN, ARNP, PMHNP-BC A Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with 16 years of nursing experience. I work with teens and adults who are struggling with anxiety, depression, ADHD, and sleep difficulties. In my practice, I combine medication management with Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), so you leave with real tools and not only a prescription. My goal is to offer a calm, judgment-free space where you feel heard, understood, and supported at every step.

First session

Your first session is a relaxed conversation, not a test. We'll talk about what brought you in, what you've been feeling, and what you've already tried. I'll ask about your sleep, mood, focus, health history, and daily routine so I can understand the full picture. There are no wrong answers, and you only share what you're comfortable sharing. You'll have plenty of time to ask questions. If medication might help, I'll explain your options, how they work, and what to expect, and nothing is decided without you. By the end of our visit, you'll leave with a clear plan, a few practical steps to start with, and the reassurance that you don't have to figure this out alone.

Strengths

What strengths do you bring to your sessions? I bring 16 years of nursing experience to every session, which taught me to listen closely and look at the whole person, not just a diagnosis. I explain things in plain language, so you always understand your options and why I'm recommending them. Clients often tell me they feel heard and never rushed. I'm practical and collaborative: we set realistic goals together, and I check in regularly on what's working and what isn't. Describe why your approach stands out. I combine medication management with Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), so you get more than a prescription. Medication can ease symptoms, while CBT gives you tools to change the thoughts and habits that keep anxiety, depression, ADHD, and sleep problems going. I work with both teens and adults, and I tailor each plan to your life, schedule, and comfort level. We move in small, manageable steps, and you stay in charge of the decisions about your care. One thing to check: I wrote "clients often tell me they feel heard and never rushed" as a likely fit, so keep it only if it's true to your feedback. If Grow has a character limit on these fields, tell me the number and I'll trim them to fit.

Ideal clients

I work best with teens and adults who feel worn down by anxiety, depression, ADHD, or poor sleep and are ready for things to feel different. You might be overwhelmed, stuck in the same patterns, or tired of pushing through on your own. You may be new to mental health care, or you may have tried treatment before and not felt heard. You don't need to have it all figured out. My ideal client is simply open to being honest about what's going on and willing to take small steps, whether that means trying medication, learning new coping skills, or both. If you want a provider who will work alongside you and stand up for your needs, we'll be a good fit.

Treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) alongside medication management to help you understand how your thoughts, feelings, and actions connect. In our sessions, we identify the thinking patterns and habits that keep anxiety, low mood, poor focus, or sleepless nights going, and then practice realistic ways to change them. That might mean challenging a worry that keeps looping, building a routine that supports attention, or resetting habits that interfere with sleep.
