Hi their! My name is Tanecha Wright. I am a black female born and raised in California. I am a licensed marriage family therapist in the state of California. I have many years working in the community based mental health. I have also worked in outpatient services, servicing domestic violence survivors. My Avenue to therapy is custom fit to openness and genuineness to personal stories of every client. It is intended to provide a safe space for collaboration through the journey of healing. I believe that we must water self for change. “ We are the seed”.

In our first session together, we'll start with brief introductions, education on the important ethical matters, then dive into the specific challenges you're facing. Sessions are designed and intended for individuals to learn more about themselves or the situation.

Working in the community has assisted with developing a custom fit to openness and genuineness to personal stories of every individual. In sessions we will explore root cause of your challenges and create a tailored plan that leads to measurable goals and progress.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I enjoy working with at risk youth, adults, couples and preteens. My main therapeutic approach is cognitive behavioral therapy, TFCBT and other modalities were needed. In life, we tend to bear the weight of other people and at times, need the assistance to shuffle through things. I am here to assist and relieve the load as the client "you" does the work towards healing.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

This treatment assist with understanding your thought, patterns and how a person sees himself/herself in the world or how you show up in the world.

Couples Counseling

This approach helps couples understand their relationship, emotions, and manage their behavior. It increases the communication, skill to manage their thoughts, behaviors and interactions. It also helps form a sense of secure emotional bond.

Psychodynamic

This theoretical orientation focuses on early childhood attachment experiences that shape individual’s relationship that tends to be deeply rooted and hinders relationships. Building a therapeutic relationship and having a safe environment to conduct session is vital.
