Hi! I’m Jackie. I received my master’s degree in Social Work from the University of Southern California and am currently a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in both the states of Florida and California. I’ve worked in the most acute settings, including Los Angeles County jail and Psychiatric crisis emergency rooms in Miami, so I have heard it all and seen it all! I have seen patients at their worst and have come to realize how important it is to have that therapeutic support in order to maintain health and wellness. It is truly amazing and inspiring to be a part of the therapeutic process and see the turn around that people can make in their lives. I see every patient as their own and no one case is the same. Your treatment plan and the flow of our sessions will be uniquely adapted to your own personal needs. I am here to support you and walk alongside you on your journey of change. I look forward to working with you!
In our first session together, we'll start with brief introductions in order to build the rapport we need to begin the therapeutic process and then dive into the specific challenges you're facing. This will help me create a tailored plan for us to work through in follow-up sessions. I pride myself in creating a safe and non judgmental space for you to feel you can be honest and open with the struggles you have been facing.
My client-centered approach combines ACT (acceptance and Commitment Therapy) with some Cognitive Behavioral influences. My main specialty is in Exposure Response Therapy (ERP) for those suffering from Obsessive Compulsive Disorder.
I am extremely empathetic, and passionate and my goal is to help you achieve yours. I am here to actively listen to your concerns and needs. My main skill is to provide a non-judgemental safe space for you to explore any and all issues that require patience, encouragement and support. I AM HERE FOR YOU!
