About me

I believe the best therapy happens through honest conversation and collaboration. My goal is to create a space where you feel comfortable being yourself while helping you build practical skills that create meaningful change. My style is warm, collaborative, and down-to-earth. I value authenticity and often keep an informal tone when it helps clients feel more at ease. Rather than telling you what to do, I work alongside you to better understand what's keeping you stuck and help you discover solutions that fit your life, values, and goals. My approach is grounded in evidence-based practices, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), solution-focused therapy, mindfulness, and psychoeducation. I believe that understanding why our minds and bodies respond the way they do can make change feel less overwhelming and more achievable. I'll help you develop practical tools while offering support, encouragement, and a little perspective along the way. Whether you're navigating anxiety, depression, stress, life transitions, or simply feeling overwhelmed, I'll meet you where you are. Together, we'll identify your strengths, build resilience, and create a path forward that feels realistic and sustainable. You don't have to have everything figured out before starting therapy, you just have to be willing to take the first step.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

The first session is all about getting to know you and understanding what brings you to therapy. We'll spend time exploring your story, what's been weighing on you, and what you hope to gain from our work together. I know opening up to someone new can feel awkward or overwhelming, so we'll move at a pace that feels comfortable for you. While the first session is focused on gathering information, I also believe it's important for you to leave feeling like you've gained something meaningful. Together, we'll identify one or two practical tools you can begin using right away. Whether that's a mindfulness strategy, a new way of approaching a difficult situation, or a simple coping skill, my goal is to give you something that feels manageable and not overwhelming to begin working on between sessions. Therapy is a collaborative process, and from the very first session, we'll begin building a plan that feels realistic, personalized, and focused on helping you move forward.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

One of my greatest strengths is adapting to what each client needs in the moment. Some sessions call for practical strategies, psychoeducation, and gentle challenges that help you move toward your goals. Other times, what's most helpful is simply having someone who can sit with you in difficult emotions without rushing to "fix" them. I believe both are important parts of the therapeutic process. I aim to create a space that's both supportive and growth-oriented. I'll help you better understand the patterns behind your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors while equipping you with practical tools you can use outside of therapy. My goal isn't to tell you what to do, but to help you build the confidence and skills to make decisions that align with your values. Above all, I strive to create a space where you feel heard, supported, and appropriately challenged so that therapy leads to meaningful, lasting change.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I enjoy working with adults who are navigating life's biggest transitions and looking for a path forward. Whether you're grieving the loss of a loved one, adjusting to a chronic illness, moving through a divorce, facing a major life change, or feeling overwhelmed by unexpected challenges, therapy can provide a place to process, heal, and grow. Many of my clients come to therapy feeling stuck, uncertain, or emotionally exhausted. Together, we'll work to better understand what's happening, develop practical coping strategies, and build confidence as you move into your next chapter. I believe that while we can't always change our circumstances, we can learn new ways to respond to them with resilience and self-compassion. If you're looking for a therapist who will listen without judgment, offer practical guidance, and walk alongside you as you navigate change, we'd likely be a good fit.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I use CBT to help clients make sense of what's happening beneath the surface. Rather than simply talking about problems, we'll work together to recognize patterns, build practical coping skills, and develop new ways of responding that align with your goals and values.
