As a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, working with patients within Florida. I manage medications for a wide spectrum of behavioral health needs. My goal is to ensure that every patient I see feels heard and cared for with compassion and encouragement. I received my training as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner through the University of Alabama at Birmingham in 2019 and have served the Panhandle area of Florida (Panama City and outlying areas) since that time.
In our first session together, we will work to identify your priorities for treatment. This may take some time, and often there are other questions that may not apply in your particular situation. Toward the end of the session, we will both choose the plan that works best for you and addresses your priorities.
My goal is to communicate compassion and encouragement. It is hard to navigate this life, and no one should feel discouraged or judged after investing the time and energy it takes to schedule and participate in treatment. I strongly believe that in order to treat patients appropriately, whether through medication management or therapy, a provider has to dedicate time with the patient with the above principles in mind.
I love helping patients reduce anxiety and manage life stressors more effectively. I also enjoy working with persons dealing with concentration issues. I find that patients who are often anxious have difficulty with focus, and those who have difficulty focusing, tend to become overwhelmed and more anxious.
Patients are encouraged to develop coping skills, whereby they can learn to change their own thinking, problematic emotions, and behavior.
