About me

Life brings change and loss, and having a compassionate and skilled therapist to walk with you can make all the difference. As a Licensed Clinical Therapist with over a decade of specializing in grief therapy and ten years of hospice social work, I offer supportive, grounded care to individuals and families navigating life’s hardest transitions. Clients describe my approach as compassionate, authentic, and refreshingly real. I blend evidence-based methods like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) with warmth, gentle humor, and a client-centered focus to create a safe space where healing begins. Whether you’re facing grief, trauma, anxiety, life transitions, or seeking clarity, I’m here to walk alongside you with curiosity and care. My practice welcomes clients ages 13 through adulthood and into later life, including those from the LGBTQ+ community and those experiencing compounded losses. Together, we’ll find meaningful steps forward to discover resilience and build lasting strength.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

Your first session with me is focused on creating a respectful and supportive space where you feel comfortable to share at your own pace. We’ll begin with an open dialogue to understand what brings you to therapy, your goals, and any relevant history that may shape our work together. There is no rush to disclose everything—all conversations happen at a pace that feels right for you. In addition, we’ll discuss important practical matters like confidentiality, session format, and how I incorporate different therapy techniques to help you explore the links between your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. My approach is collaborative and client-centered, meeting you where you are and working together to foster healing, growth, and resilience.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I am especially well-equipped to support clients who are ready to embrace meaningful change or navigate significant life transitions and challenges. My primary focus areas include anxiety and depression, with extensive experience in grief, trauma, and LGBTQ+ issues. Additionally, I have in-depth knowledge of various disease processes and chronic illnesses, which allows me to provide valuable education and support to individuals coping with illness as well as those in their support network. I customize my approach to meet each person’s unique needs, fostering personal growth and resilience throughout the therapeutic journey.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I truly believe you already have the strength to face life’s challenges, and together, through open and honest conversation, education, and proven therapy techniques, we can help you renew and approach life in a healthier, more effective way. I’m here to support teens, adults, and older adults who might be feeling overwhelmed, stuck in old habits, or ready to make positive changes in their lives. Whether you’re dealing with anxiety, trauma, grief, or just navigating one of life’s many transitions, I offer a warm and supportive space where you can find clarity, healing, and renewed purpose.

Person-centered (Rogerian)

Person-centered therapy is a compassionate, non-judgmental approach that fully accepts and values the client’s thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. I believe that this creates a supportive and trusting environment where clients feel safe and encouraged to express themselves openly and explore their personal growth.

Humanistic therapy is a compassionate and supportive approach that emphasizes each individual’s unique potential for growth, self-awareness, and authentic living. Rooted in the philosophy of humanism, it focuses on understanding the whole person, encouraging personal responsibility, and nurturing the journey toward self-fulfillment and meaningful change.
