New to Grow
I am a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and addiction-certified clinician dedicated to providing compassionate, evidence-based, and person-centered mental health care. I work collaboratively with each client to create a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where healing can begin. My approach focuses on understanding the whole person, honoring individual strengths, and helping clients build the insight, skills, and resilience needed for growth, recovery, and lasting emotional well-being.
In our first session together, here's what you can expect
In our first session, you can expect a supportive, nonjudgmental conversation focused on getting to know you, understanding your concerns, and identifying what brought you to treatment. We will discuss your current symptoms, personal history, strengths, goals, and any prior experiences with therapy, medications, or recovery support. My goal is to create a safe space where you feel heard and respected while we begin developing a plan that fits your needs. This first visit is also a chance for you to ask questions, share what matters most to you, and determine whether I am a good fit for your treatment journey.
The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions
My greatest strengths are my compassionate, nonjudgmental approach and my ability to provide individualized, evidence-based care. I specialize in supporting clients with addiction recovery and co-occurring mental health concerns while creating a safe, collaborative space for healing, resilience, and lasting change.
The clients I'm best positioned to serve
I work especially well with adolescents and adults who are navigating addiction recovery and want a supportive, respectful partner in their healing process. Many of my clients are managing substance use concerns alongside anxiety, depression, trauma, stress, or relationship challenges, and are ready to build a healthier and more stable life. I provide a safe, nonjudgmental space where clients can explore their experiences, strengthen resilience, develop practical coping strategies, and move toward meaningful recovery. My approach is compassionate, collaborative, and focused on treating the whole person, not just the addiction.
Trauma Informed Care
My practice is grounded in trauma-informed care, which means I prioritize emotional safety, trust, collaboration, and respect in every client interaction. I understand that trauma can affect how people cope, connect, and respond to life’s challenges, and I strive to create a supportive, nonjudgmental environment where clients feel empowered rather than overwhelmed. I meet each person where they are, honor their lived experience, and work at a pace that feels safe and appropriate for them. My goal is to help clients build insight, resilience, and healing while feeling genuinely supported throughout the process.
Internal Family Systems (IFS)
I use an Internal Family Systems (IFS)-informed approach to help clients explore the different parts of themselves in a compassionate and supportive way. Many people experience inner conflict, self-criticism, or emotional patterns that can feel confusing, and IFS offers a gentle framework for understanding those experiences. Together, we work to identify protective patterns, honor the reasons they developed, and support healing for the parts that carry pain. This process helps clients build greater self-awareness, self-leadership, and emotional healing.
Solution Focused Brief Treatment
I incorporate Solution-Focused Therapy into my practice by helping clients focus on their strengths, successes, and capacity for change. Together, we identify clear goals, explore what is already working, and develop practical, achievable steps toward improvement. This approach is empowering and forward-looking, helping clients build confidence, hope, and momentum as they move through challenges. I strive to create a supportive space where clients feel capable, encouraged, and actively engaged in their own growth.
Dialectical Behavior (DBT)
I use DBT-informed approaches to help clients strengthen emotional regulation, tolerate distress, improve relationships, and build effective coping skills. This work supports both acceptance and change, helping clients create greater balance, resilience, and stability in their lives.
