I am a licensed therapist, who specializes in trauma, anxiety, and depression. I have my Masters in Social Work from the University of Georgia. I speak Spanish, and I have experience working with people from diverse cultural backgrounds. I enjoy working with people of all ages and different stages of life.

First session

In the first session, I will ask questions as part of an evaluation to get a holistic understanding of you. I will allow you plenty of time to talk about your presenting problem and reasons for coming to therapy. Finally, I will talk to you about your options for treatment and how I can best support you as a therapist.

Strengths

My approach to therapy is person-centered, meaning I meet you where you are, and support you in using your strengths to solve your problems. I use evidence-based intervention like ACT, CBT, CPT, and mindfulness. My approach is more than just talking about your problems - I want to teach you skills to help you feel confident enough to navigate problems on your own!

Ideal clients

My ideal client is someone who feels stuck in patterns they’re ready to understand and change. They may be struggling with anxiety, the effects of past trauma, relationship or family difficulties, perfectionism, low self-esteem, or a major life transition. Often, they have insight into what isn’t working but aren’t quite sure how to move forward. I especially enjoy working with clients who are curious about themselves and open to exploring how past experiences have shaped their thoughts, emotions, relationships, and sense of self. My goal is to help clients better understand these patterns, develop practical tools for managing difficult emotions, and build a life that feels more intentional, authentic, and aligned with their values.

Treatment methods

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

I use ACT to help clients change their relationship with difficult thoughts and emotions, clarify what matters most to them, and take actions that align with their values.

Cognitive Processing (CPT)

I use CPT to help clients process traumatic experiences, identify beliefs that may be keeping them stuck, and develop more balanced ways of thinking about themselves, others, and the world.

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

I incorporate mindfulness to help clients become more aware of their thoughts, emotions, and physical experiences while learning to stay grounded in the present moment.

Person-centered (Rogerian)

I use a person-centered approach to create a warm, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where clients feel comfortable being themselves and exploring what matters to them.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I use CBT to help clients understand the connection between their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors and develop healthier patterns that support their goals.
