Hello, I'm Jack, a lifelong New Yorker who is passionate about helping individuals navigate life's challenges and move toward meaningful change. I believe therapy works best as a collaborative process built on trust, respect, and genuine connection. I strive to create a warm, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment where you can feel comfortable being yourself. Whether you are struggling with anxiety, depression, symptoms related to psychosis, or simply feeling overwhelmed by life's demands, I will work alongside you to better understand your experience and develop practical strategies for coping, growth, and healing.
The first session will be focused on understanding what brings you to therapy, what your goals are and answering any questions you may have. The process of structuring treatment and working towards your goals will stem from this session.
My practice is integrative and based in multiple therapeutic approaches. I will tailor my approach to your unique needs and treatment goals. I have experience in mental health across a variety of settings and am skilled at engaging with individuals of varying identities and life circumstances.
My ideal client is someone who is motivated to participate in therapy and wants to work towards meaningful change. I specialize in anxiety and depression, but have experience working with a variety of conditions. I welcome the opportunity to connect and discuss how therapy can support you in reaching your goals. I offer a free 15 minute consultation and would love to talk with you.
I utilize CBT to help people who are struggling with negative thinking patterns. CBT is based in the idea that our feelings, thoughts and behaviors are influenced by each other, with automatic negative thoughts driving negative feelings and behaviors. I will work with you to identify thinking patterns and work with you to change them.
I utilize acceptance and commitment therapy to help people who are struggling to change their relationship with difficult thoughts and feelings.
I utilize mindfulness practices to help clients be fully aware of the present without judgement. Mindfulness practices can help those who ruminate about the future or the past, as well as those dealing with chronic stress.
