Nerly Lubin
I am a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner dedicated to providing compassionate, evidence-based mental health care for children, adolescents, adults, and older adults. My approach is warm, nonjudgmental, and collaborative. I believe every person deserves to feel heard, understood, and involved in their treatment decisions. Whether you're struggling with anxiety, depression, ADHD, trauma, mood changes, or life transitions, I strive to create a safe space where we can work together toward meaningful and lasting improvement. I also provide culturally sensitive care and welcome individuals from diverse backgrounds.
First session
Your first session is an opportunity for us to get to know one another and develop a clear understanding of your concerns, goals, and treatment needs. We'll review your current symptoms, medical and mental health history, medications, lifestyle, and any factors that may be affecting your well-being. I'll answer your questions, explain my recommendations, and work with you to create a personalized treatment plan that may include medication management, supportive therapy, coping strategies, or referrals when appropriate. My goal is for you to leave the appointment feeling heard, informed, and hopeful about the next steps in your care.
Strengths
I combine clinical expertise with genuine compassion and a practical, solution-focused approach. I believe in listening without judgment while also providing honest guidance and evidence-based recommendations. I value collaboration and empower my clients to actively participate in their treatment. My experience caring for individuals across the lifespan, including children, adults, and older adults, allows me to tailor treatment to each person's unique needs. I focus on building trusting relationships, promoting resilience, and helping clients develop the tools they need to improve their mental health and quality of life.
Ideal clients
I work with children, adolescents, adults, and older adults experiencing anxiety, depression, ADHD, mood disorders, trauma, stress, and other mental health concerns. My ideal clients are seeking a thorough psychiatric evaluation, thoughtful medication management, and a provider who listens, explains treatment options, and partners with them to improve their quality of life. I value individualized, evidence-based care that supports each person's unique goals and long-term well-being.
Treatment methods
Collaborative Assessment and Management of Suicidality (CAMS)
When someone is struggling with suicidal thoughts, I provide a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental space to talk openly about what they're experiencing. Together, we identify what's contributing to those feelings, develop practical coping strategies, create a personalized safety plan, and focus on building hope while reducing emotional distress. My goal is to help you feel heard, supported, and empowered throughout your recovery.
