Hello, my name is Natalie Boddie, I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), I received my master’s degree, from Chapman University. I have extensive experience working in Community-Based Mental health and working with Individuals dealing with Anxiety and Depression. My passion is working with Adults and Couples to assist them with developing and utilizing the necessary coping skills, to manage their life situations while addressing relational barriers and historical traumas. My specialty areas include Individuals dealing with Anxiety and Depression, Couples Counseling, Pre-Marital Counseling, Foster care issues, and Anger Management and Women's issues. I approach therapy from a trauma-informed, client-centered and culturally competent perspective. My goals is to help my clients live empowered and able to reach their full potential, by using interventions using Solution Focus, CBT, Client Centered approaches.
It is my hope that each of my clients will walk away from each session feeling heard, understood and validated. I desire to help my clients to explore their thoughts to identify the best solutions for their situations. Over time I would like to assist my clients with strategies to improve their day to day functioning.
Treatment methods, used are Solution Focus Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Client Centered Therapy. Assessments for Couples: Gottman Assessment or Prepare Enrich Assessment. Anxiety Assessment GAD7, Depression Assessment PHQ9.
My strengths include, connecting with others easily, having unconditional positive regard, being able to provide a non judgmental space for others to be heard.
