About me

If you’re tired of understanding why you feel the way you do but still can’t seem to change it, you’re in the right place. I’m a trauma-focused psychotherapist specializing in EMDR, IFS, somatic therapy, PTSD, anxiety, attachment and relationship concerns, grief, neurodivergence, and complex trauma. I help clients move beyond simply coping and begin healing the patterns keeping them stuck.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

You do not need to walk into our first session knowing exactly what to say. My job is to help you feel comfortable, understood, and never judged. We’ll start by talking about what is bringing you to therapy, what has been weighing on you, and what you want your life to feel like instead. I’ll ask thoughtful questions to understand not just your symptoms, but the experiences, relationships, beliefs, nervous-system responses, and protective patterns underneath them. You will never be expected to disclose trauma before you feel ready. We move at a pace that feels safe while still making therapy productive. I use an individualized approach drawing from EMDR, Internal Family Systems (IFS), somatic therapy, attachment work, mindfulness, DBT-informed strategies, and trauma-informed psychotherapy. Rather than using the same treatment with everyone, we will determine what actually fits you. Many clients come to therapy saying, “I know logically that I’m okay, but my body doesn’t believe it,” or “I understand my patterns, but I can’t stop repeating them.” That is exactly the kind of work I love to do. My goal is for you to leave our first meeting feeling something important: relief that you do not have to figure this out alone, clarity about what may be happening underneath the surface, and hope that meaningful change is possible.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

My clients often need more than someone who simply listens. They want a therapist who can deeply understand them, recognize patterns others may have missed, and help them actually create change. I bring warmth, compassion, directness, curiosity, and extensive trauma-focused training into the therapy room. I know when to slow down and simply be present with you—and when to gently challenge a belief, pattern, or protective response that may no longer be serving you. I specialize in helping people who feel deeply, think deeply, or have spent years being told they are “too much,” overly sensitive, difficult, anxious, or different. I am especially comfortable working with complex trauma, PTSD, attachment wounds, abandonment fears, relationship difficulties, grief, dissociation, mood concerns, ADHD, autism and other neurodivergent experiences. My approach integrates EMDR, IFS, somatic work, mindfulness, DBT-informed skills, attachment-focused therapy, and nervous-system regulation. This allows us to work with more than thoughts alone—we can address what you intellectually understand and what your body and emotional system are still carrying. Therapy with me is collaborative and genuine. You will not be treated like a diagnosis or handed generic coping skills. We will work together to understand the whole picture, identify what is keeping you stuck, and build the kind of healing that carries into your relationships, confidence, boundaries, and everyday life. You deserve therapy that helps you understand yourself—and actually feel different.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

My ideal client may look capable on the outside while privately feeling overwhelmed, anxious, disconnected, stuck in painful relationship patterns, or exhausted from carrying experiences they have never fully processed. I especially enjoy working with teens and adults navigating trauma, PTSD, attachment wounds, abandonment fears, anxiety, grief, relationship difficulties, life transitions, ADHD, autism, and other neurodivergent experiences. Many of my clients are insightful and self-aware—they may already understand why they struggle, but still find that their body, emotions, or relationships keep reacting in ways they cannot simply “think” themselves out of. I work best with clients who want more than symptom management. Together, we can use approaches such as EMDR, IFS, somatic work, attachment-focused therapy, mindfulness, and practical skills to help create deeper, lasting change. You do not need to arrive ready to tell your entire story—only willing to begin.

My treatment methods

EMDR

I use EMDR to help clients process painful experiences that still feel emotionally or physically “stuck.” Rather than only talking about what happened, EMDR helps the brain and nervous system reprocess distressing memories so they can feel less intense, less triggering, and more firmly in the past.

Attachment-based

I use attachment-based therapy to help clients understand how early relationships and past experiences may shape the way they connect, trust, communicate, and respond to closeness today. Together, we work toward greater security, healthier boundaries, stronger relationships, and a deeper sense of safety with yourself and others.

Couples Counseling

I help couples understand the patterns underneath conflict rather than simply deciding who is right or wrong. We work on communication, emotional safety, intimacy, trust, attachment needs, conflict repair, and the ability to feel like partners again instead of adversaries.

Exposure Response Prevention (ERP)

I use ERP to help clients gradually face feared thoughts, situations, or sensations without relying on the avoidance, reassurance, or compulsive behaviors that keep anxiety going. We move collaboratively and at a manageable pace so you can build confidence, flexibility, and freedom from fear-driven patterns.

Internal Family Systems (IFS)

I use IFS to help clients understand the different “parts” of themselves that may carry fear, shame, anger, perfectionism, people-pleasing, or the need to stay in control. Instead of fighting those parts, we learn what they are protecting and help them feel safer, allowing more calm, self-compassion, and internal balance.
