I am a licensed clinical social worker with over 20 years of experience working with people of all gender expressions and sexual orientations. I have additional certifications as a Somatic Experiencing Practitioner, an EMDR Therapist and a Clinical Hypnotist. My work blends insight-oriented conversation with experiential approaches, including mindfulness, to support meaningful, lasting change. I aim to create a space that feels both grounded and compassionate, where you can explore honestly and move toward a more aligned, fulfilling life.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

Our first session will be spent getting to know each other and exploring a bit of your history and what brings you to therapy at this point in your life. Together we will determine what your goals will be for our work together.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

My approach is both experiential and results-oriented. Rather than staying solely in conversation or insight, I focus on helping clients feel and shift what’s happening in real time—emotionally, physically, and unconsciously. I integrate methods like clinical hypnosis, mindfulness, and somatic awareness to access patterns that aren’t easily reached through thinking alone. This allows clients to move beyond understanding their challenges and into actually changing them. What often stands out is the pace and depth of change. Clients frequently report meaningful shifts in a relatively short period of time—whether that’s reduced anxiety, improved self-regulation, or a greater sense of connection to themselves and others. Sessions are active and collaborative, but also deeply attuned; I’m paying close attention not just to what’s said, but to what’s happening underneath it. I also place a strong emphasis on helping clients build a different relationship with themselves—especially around self-trust, self-compassion, and embodied awareness. The goal isn’t just symptom relief, but lasting internal change that continues outside the therapy room.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I’m best positioned to serve people who are curious about themselves but feel, in some way, stuck. That might look like someone who is functioning well on the outside—working, maintaining relationships, showing up for life—but internally feels disconnected, anxious, or dissatisfied. Many of the people I work with have a strong capacity for insight; they’ve thought a lot about their patterns, maybe even tried therapy before, but haven’t quite been able to translate understanding into meaningful change. Common concerns include anxiety, persistent stress, burnout, difficulty with self-worth, or a sense of being cut off from one’s body or emotions. Some are navigating life transitions, grief, or the cumulative weight of long-standing habits that no longer serve them. In terms of mindset, clients tend to be open, reflective, and willing to explore—though not always sure how to do that effectively. They may feel frustrated that “knowing better” hasn’t led to “feeling better,” or that they keep repeating the same patterns despite their best efforts. The goals we work toward are not just symptom relief, but a deeper sense of connection and agency: feeling more at home in one’s body, developing a more compassionate relationship with oneself, and creating sustainable shifts in behavior and experience. This often includes learning how to regulate the nervous system, access internal resources, and engage more fully and authentically in relationships and daily life. Ultimately, I work best with people who are ready—not necessarily to have everything figured out—but to engage honestly with themselves and participate actively in the process of change.
