Hello, I am Tiong Tan and you can also call me Joshua. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with extensive experience working with individuals experiencing chronic mental health symptoms, marital challenges and parenting struggles. I speak Cantonese and Mandarin fluently, travels globally and I am 100% telehealth. I graduated from Diana R. Garland School of Social Work at Baylor University, Texas in 2012 as a Global Mission Leadership Scholar. In 2017, I completed a Master of Arts in Theology at Fuller Seminary. During my time at Fuller Seminary, I took the opportunity to sharpen my clinical competence through Fuller School of Psychology. I am married for 21 years and nurturing 2 sensible teenagers. My training, education, and background has prepared me to assist individuals with complex mental health challenges, relationship issues and parenting struggles.

As a multilingual therapist and a global citizen, I appreciate the resiliency and complexity of international transitions and have the expertise in navigating intergenerational, intercultural, interfaith, and third culture issues. I also provide therapy in Mandarin and Cantonese.

I had the experience serving as a minister for 12 years. During my tenure as a pastor, I mentored and trained youth and young adults to discern their vocation and provided pastoral counselling to individuals and families.

I was assigned this therapist during a really challenging time in my life. Be has been awesome and breaking things down and helping me find solutions and have a better perspective just through his style of therapy. I have learned a lot of exercises to help control my anxiety and I work daily to remind myself of my worth. I really appreciate Dr. Tan style of therapy.
