Whenever you feel as if everything inside you has broken into a million pieces and you feel things can never be the same again. You think that things are beyond fixing and there is no point trying. Now, every little thing becomes unbearable and overwhelming. Those negative struggles reopen old wounds and cause new ones. You tried burying your pain hoping it would go away. You feel lonely and tormented. You feel exhausted, stressed, and angry all the time. You wonder how much more you can take. You are unsure of who or where to turn for help. Amid this painful journey, you do not have to go through it alone. I am here to assist you to re-channel your energy towards rewriting your story, move forward in life by creating an alternative path, and redeveloping hope and happiness. We will work together to begin the journey of making sense of the trauma, regulating the extreme emotions, restoring precious relationships and discovering new potentials and possibilities. I will assist you in increasing your self-awareness via mindfulness exercises, strengthening coping strategies to regulate intense emotions, arresting negative thoughts, improving your analytical skills, and developing more adaptive thinking to replace negative thoughts.

I was assigned this therapist during a really challenging time in my life. Be has been awesome and breaking things down and helping me find solutions and have a better perspective just through his style of therapy. I have learned a lot of exercises to help control my anxiety and I work daily to remind myself of my worth. I really appreciate Dr. Tan style of therapy.
