When it comes to patient care, I strive to maintain a holistic approach. in addition to my work as a Psychiatric & Mental Health NP for 18 years, I am also board certified as an Adult/Gerontological NP. Given this commitment, I have practiced integrated psychiatric & medical care for over a decade. I believe the provider–patient relationship should be individualized to each patient’s needs. There is no "one size fits all." My clinical approach is informed by 18 years of practice—experience I attribute to the trust of my patients. I am grateful to those who invite me to be part of their journey toward wellness.
During the first session there will be time for introductions between the client and treatment provider. After this, we will go directly into discussing the specific reasons that have contributed to the patient seeking mental health treatment at this time. The patient can share the challenges/stressors they are facing, as well as identifying initial goals of treatment outcome. This will enable me to best formulate a treatment plan which will address the unique needs, challenges, goals of the specific individual.
