I have worked as a mental health practitioner for 16 years. I am also a board certified medical provider (ANP/GNP), and have practiced a combination of integrated medical and psychiatric care for over a decade. Given this experience, I am able to meet a wide array of patient treatment needs. I have always been exceedingly open to an extensive and diverse patient/client patient population, as I am a provider who has always been known and identified in practice for my inherent flexible, open, accepting, non-judgmental nature and outlook.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

During the first session there will be time for introductions between the client and treatment provider. After this, we will go directly into discussing the specific reasons that have contributed to the patient seeking mental health treatment at this time. The patient can share the challenges/stressors they are facing, as well as identifying initial goals of treatment outcome. This will enable me to best formulate a treatment plan which will address the unique needs, challenges, goals of the specific individual.

My treatment methods

Psychodynamic

Through this modality, we are able to work together by utilizing and strengthening the patient’s self-examination and self-reflection abilities. With these tools, we identify and explore psychological origins of emotional suffering or distress. This method enables us to utilize the dynamic between patient and therapist to provide a unique window with which to view relationship patterns within the life of the patient. The benefits of this treatment approach will support the individual in leading a healthier life overall.
