(she/her)
Hi, I’m Pang Martin, a licensed clinical social worker. I earned my BA in Psychology in 2015 and my MSW in 2017, specializing in child welfare. I’ve been practicing therapy since 2020 and became fully licensed in October 2025. I’m deeply passionate about supporting others in their mental and emotional well-being, helping them see that the challenges they’re facing now don’t define their whole story. I believe there’s always a light at the end of the tunnel—I’ve worked hard to find it myself, and I truly believe anyone can too.
In your first session, we’ll take the time to get to know each other and understand what brought you to therapy. I’ll ask about your experiences, goals, and any challenges you’re facing, and we’ll start exploring ways to support your growth and healing. This session is also a chance for you to ask questions about the process, my approach, and what therapy might look like for you. My goal is to create a safe, welcoming space where you feel heard, understood, and supported from the very start.
I am compassionate, attentive, and deeply committed to helping clients feel seen and understood. I bring a balance of empathy and practical guidance, supporting clients in both exploring their emotions and developing actionable tools for growth. My background in child welfare and diverse clinical experience allows me to connect with clients from all walks of life and meet them where they are. I take a holistic, trauma-informed approach, blending evidence-based therapies like CBT, DBT, Brainspotting, and somatic therapy. I focus on helping clients process past experiences, regulate emotions, and reconnect with themselves in a meaningful way. What sets my work apart is my ability to create a safe, collaborative space where clients feel empowered to navigate challenges, build resilience, and make lasting changes in their lives.
I work with individuals who may appear successful or “together” on the outside but often struggle with stress, trauma, or emotional overwhelm on the inside. Clients who have experienced past trauma, chronic stress, or difficulty regulating emotions can particularly benefit from my approach, which integrates Brainspotting, somatic therapy, and trauma-informed care. These techniques help clients process stored trauma, reconnect with their bodies, and develop a deeper sense of safety, resilience, and emotional clarity. I also support those looking to manage anxiety, improve relationships, and move from surviving to truly thriving.
Brainspotting
I have been trained in Brainspotting since November 2023 and actively integrate it into my practice to help clients process trauma and access deeper emotional healing. I am currently working toward full certification, continuing to refine my skills and deepen the impact of this approach in my clinical work.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I have been utilizing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) in my clinical work since beginning my therapy practice in 2020, building on my experience working with children and families in Child Protective Services since 2017. I use CBT to help clients identify unhelpful thought patterns, develop practical coping skills, and create meaningful, lasting changes in their daily lives. I also draw on somatic therapy to help clients reconnect with their bodies as a source of insight and healing, rather than just focusing on thoughts alone. With my experience in clinical work since 2020, I guide clients in noticing physical sensations, building regulation skills, and gently working through stress and trauma held in the body.
Dialectical Behavior (DBT)
I incorporate Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) into my work to support clients in building skills around emotional regulation, distress tolerance, mindfulness, and interpersonal effectiveness. Since beginning my therapy practice in 2020, along with my experience in Child Protective Services since 2017, I have used DBT to help clients manage intense emotions and navigate challenging situations more effectively.
Psychoeducation
I incorporate psychoeducation into my practice to help clients better understand their symptoms, patterns, and the underlying processes driving their experiences. I use psychoeducation to empower clients with knowledge and practical tools to support lasting change.
Trauma Informed Care
My work is grounded in a trauma-informed approach, where creating a sense of safety, choice, and collaboration is essential. Drawing from my experience in Child Protective Services since 2017 and my therapy practice since 2020, I remain mindful of how trauma shapes each client’s story and tailor care in a way that honors their pace, resilience, and strengths.
