Life has many obstacles, expectations and changes that can be overwhelming and at times difficult to manage. I provide support to individuals navigating barriers to a happier and more meaningful life. I am a Bi-lingual Latina therapist. Graduated from the University of Michigan with a Master of Social Work degree. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker specializing in working with children, teens and young adults. In addition to my clinical experience, I provide an environment that can be humorous and fun as well as vulnerable and challenging. I have primarily worked with clients experiencing anxiety, depression, shame, guilt, relationship issues, break-ups, anger, loneliness, grief and life transitions. We will work on addressing the immediate problem or crisis that brings you to psychotherapy, and address underlying issues and psychological conflicts. Together, we will find a safe way to address difficult emotions and plan a course of therapy that is safe and non-threatening.
What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?
In our first session, you can expect to have the freedom to ask any questions to check if I am a good match for you. We will get to briefly know each other. There will be questions from me and we will get into discussion your struggles in order to create goals and a plan together. One that you feel comfortable with and is tailored specifically to your needs.
Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.
My biggest strengths are being empathetic to the diversity of individuals. Understanding of the Latin culture. Growing up in a home with addiction, absence and abuse my self, I can relate to those who have experienced trauma and are looking to heal their childhood wounds.
