New to Grow
Hello! I’m a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) with over 15 years of experience supporting adults as they navigate anxiety, grief, depression, and major life transitions. I’m also a Certified Anxiety Treatment Professional and have extensive training in grief work, mindfulness‑based approaches, and cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT). My goal is to help clients build the skills and confidence needed to move toward a life that feels more grounded, empowered, and aligned with who they want to be.
Many clients come to me feeling overwhelmed by anxiety that seems to appear out of nowhere, by stress that feels unmanageable, or by changes in life they did not expect. You might be noticing shifts in your sleep, mood, or ability to cope. I understand that taking the first step to reach out for help can feel incredibly difficult, and I guide clients through the process with compassion, clarity, and a collaborative spirit. I enjoy working with people who are motivated to make positive changes in their lives. You deserve to feel supported, safe, and heard. Together, we explore what’s getting in the way and build practical tools to help you move forward. I encourage clients to imagine what life could look like if they felt more in control, more hopeful, and more connected to themselves. My role is to walk alongside you on that journey, one step at a time.
I use a variety of treatment modalities based on each client’s individual needs, with CBT as my primary approach. I specialize in anxiety, depression, and phase‑of‑life issues, and I believe deeply in promoting whole‑person wellness so clients can show up as their best selves. I’m independently licensed in both Ohio and Florida. If you feel ready to begin this work, I welcome you to reach out. It’s truly a gift for me to walk with clients as they grow, heal, and reclaim their lives.
My ideal client is someone who feels overwhelmed by anxiety, weighed down by grief, or stuck in a major life transition. They may be noticing changes in their sleep, mood, or ability to cope, and they’re looking for clarity and support. They come in with a willingness to explore what’s happening beneath the surface and a desire to feel more grounded, hopeful, and aligned with who they want to be. Their goals might include reducing anxiety, improving emotional balance, navigating a difficult change, or reconnecting with themselves in a meaningful way. Most of all, my ideal client values collaboration and wants a therapist who will walk with them as they grow, heal, and move toward a steadier, more empowered version of themselves.
ACT helps clients change their relationship with difficult thoughts and emotions rather than trying to eliminate them. It teaches skills for staying present, accepting internal experiences, and making choices guided by personal values. Clients learn to notice unhelpful patterns, reduce avoidance, and take meaningful action even when discomfort shows up. Over time, ACT supports greater emotional flexibility, improved coping, and a stronger sense of alignment with what truly matters.
Christian counseling offers clients a space to integrate their faith with their emotional and mental well-being. It helps individuals find comfort, direction, and strength through biblical principles while addressing challenges like anxiety, grief, and life transitions. Clients can explore how their beliefs shape their identity, choices, and healing process. This approach encourages hope, resilience, and a deeper sense of purpose. Christian counseling also supports clients in aligning their values with daily actions, strengthening their relationship with God, and finding peace during difficult seasons. It blends therapeutic tools with spiritual guidance to promote whole-person healing and growth.
CBT helps clients understand how their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors are connected. By identifying unhelpful thinking patterns and learning to challenge them, clients can reduce anxiety, improve mood, and make more intentional choices. CBT also teaches practical coping skills that can be used in daily life, helping clients feel more in control and confident. Over time, clients gain clarity, strengthen resilience, and develop healthier ways of responding to stress and difficult emotions.
Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT) helps clients become more aware of their thoughts and emotions without getting pulled into them. By combining mindfulness practices with cognitive strategies, MBCT teaches clients to observe patterns like rumination or worry and respond with greater calm and clarity. This approach supports staying present, reducing emotional reactivity, and building healthier coping skills. Over time, clients often experience improved mood, less anxiety, and a stronger ability to navigate stress. MBCT encourages a grounded, compassionate mindset that helps clients feel more connected to themselves and better equipped to handle life’s challenges.
Positive psychology helps clients focus on strengths, resilience, and what gives their life meaning. It encourages gratitude, optimism, and intentional habits that support emotional well-being. By highlighting what’s going well and building on those areas, clients develop confidence and a greater sense of purpose. This approach promotes healthier thinking patterns, improved mood, and a more balanced perspective during challenges. Over time, clients feel more empowered, hopeful, and connected to the values that help them thrive.
