Hello! I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker( LCSW) with over 25 years of clinical experience. I received my Masters from the University of Maryland. I enjoy working to help others find the tools and support that they need to overcome the situations that present themselves in life.
In our first session, we will have brief introductions, and then focus on the issues you want to address in counseling. After seeing if this is a good fit for you, we will develop the follow up a plan for future sessions.
I have been told by other clients that my greatest strengths are the ability to understand the issues quickly, make them comfortable with the counseling process, and provide sound insight and tools for healing.
I work well with people who are willing to see counseling as a team process between counselor and client. My goal is to help others not only survive what they are dealing with but to grow into the best version of themselves.

In my work with chronic pain conditions and traumas I have seen that for counseling to have long-term positive effects and healing, it requires a focus on the individual as a whole. This means considering the present mood and stressors, as well as lifestyle choices and the effects of the past on our current state of being.
