Awareness of your own needs and wants is the first step to facilitating change. I will guide you to become more aware of the dominant discourses in your life. The incongruency between inner thoughts and the public self can be the deepest root of distress. Working from a more postmodern stance, we would explore the reality that is socially constructed by society, language, and relationships.
The most important factor in any counseling session is the relationship and rapport that is established between the client and the therapist.
There are no exact experiences. Therefore there is no one-fits-all treatment method. A key component to a healthier life is healthier relationships, where one feels listened to and understood. My interventions might change, but my position as an empathetic, accepting and supportive individual will remain the same.
First session
Regardless of what my clients present with, I am always ready to listen, accept and provide understanding. I chose my profession because I have genuine interest in people show unconditional positive regard for one's individuality and choices.
Strengths
