Human beings contain multitudes – we’re complex spiritual and intellectual beings. To create lasting positive change, it’s so important to witness and heal all parts of ourselves! This belief guides my work as a licensed marriage and family therapist. My holistic approach blends evidence-based techniques and time-tested spiritual wisdom to uniquely treat the whole, true self. My clients have big hearts and big dreams, but when they come to me, they’re often drowning in stress, anxiety, or burnout. They feel like they’re on a hamster wheel they can’t sustain, but they don’t want to give up on their vision, either! I take a holistic therapeutic approach to help them balance the complexity within and take steps toward a life of deep fulfillment – a life where their biggest dreams and simplest joys can peacefully coexist.
Collaboration: You’re the only expert on your own life! I trust you know the best ways to apply my suggestions to your reality – I use feedback to personalize sessions to individual needs. Always explain “why:” I never recommend a cognitive technique or lifestyle change without explaining the neuroscience or spiritual philosophy behind it – usually, there’s a bit of both! Creating a safe space: Therapy can be confronting, and your trust is an honor. I’m committed to creating a space that makes you feel safe to bring every facet of yourself, and I’ll always bring my listening ear.
My clients describe me as open, honest, authentic, calm, peaceful – a little more spiritual than most therapists, but also eager to share helpful science-based tools.
My clients are typically younger adults or students. You have big goals, but you feel like you’re stuck on an unsustainable hamster wheel of stress, anxiety, or even burnout! You dream of a life where your biggest dreams and simplest joys can peacefully coexist, but you sometimes doubt if that’s possible.
ACT allows for a highly individualized therapy experience, as one of the main components is personal values, which allows me to tailor my approach to what's most relevant for you as an individual
DBT is great for skill building (emotional regulation skills, mindfulness skills, distress tolerance skills, and interpersonal skills)
